Things to note:There was an elevator (although slow but better than not having one). They did not provide bath toiletries or laundry detergent (but maybe that’s a European thing). "The building is very authentic and beautiful. The public areas and rooms have high ceilings and a historical feel. Original features of what was a substantial home remain and have been renovated sympathetically. Our room was a suite which was large with a very large outdoor terrace. Robes and slippers were provided. A nespresso machine and kettle were welcome. Breakfast was varied and of high quality at a reasonable price. Staff were helpful and friendly . The pool was some way from the hotel which was a little disappointing but did not spoil our enjoyment. We loved our stay and would stay again. If there is one suggestion I could make it would be to be able to enjoy some shade such as an umbrella on the terrace as it was very warm during our stay ."
