Note that there is no barrier between the house and the the seawall. If you have little ones that are a falling hazard please be aware of this.

For security reasons we will not disclose the address until a booking is confirmed.
We are responsible for providing a safe, comfortable space, clean linens, and kitchen utensils. Any personal preferences (spices, coffee, breakfast) is the responsibility of the guest.
You will be living on an island and wifi or power outages are not completely unheard of. If you get one of these just hold on for an hour or so, they don't usually last long. If it's longer than that let me know I can call Xfinity and see what's going on. I cannot be held responsible for any outages for WiFi, Cable, water service, or anything else that is completely out of my control.

PLEASE let me know if there's some sort of problem that needs fixing/addressing. Since we live 1,350 miles away now there is no way for me to know if the house needs attention unless I'm told.

Really great choice for us. Dog friendly and liked having bedroom on main floor. Manatees in canal with 2 regular iguanas passing thru. Lots of toys. Kayaks, grills and beautiful downstairs space.

The location is fabulous to visit all of the keys! This is not a single, free standing home. It's one of 2 units in a duplex and the current description does not mention that. Towels were included but no wash cloths or hand towels. We had to buy our own. We stayed for 3 weeks and if your stay is longer, you need to provide your paper products. There were a few hiccups throughout our stay but the host took immediate action to correct the situations. Visiting the turtle hospital is a must! We were part of Mossy's release and it was awesome. Saw a manatee in the canal behind the unit and had daily visits from the iguanas amd pelicans. There is ample parking, and a nice area to sit around the pool which made pool time even more refreshing. Our dog loved the deck even though it was hot outside. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious with ample closet and dresser space. All in all, a great location!

We arrived at this lovely house and spent a week there with our family. The house is spacious, the bedrooms are large with bathrooms, and the living areas are well laid out. The pool is nice, even if the water was a little cold, and there are plenty of games and chairs to relax on. The house is very well located on the canal and close to the beautiful Sombrero beach. However, we did encounter a few issues upon arrival: the terrace was dirty and some things weren't working. We reported this to the owner, who took care of it, but unfortunately after we left.

Had a wonderful time. Great location, private pool and everything you could think of. This trip it was just the two of us. This would be a great place for a family. 100% would come back and would recommend spending your vacation here.

This was our first trip to The Keys, and we had a fabulous trip. We had a total of eight adults and a six month old, and had plenty of space. The rooms and closets were spacious. The room with the bunkbeds is smaller than the others. but it worked just fine for us. The house had new appliances and a fully stocked kitchen. The neighborhood was quiet, but extremely close to stores if you need to grab some things. There is a Publix right around the corner. I would most definitely stay at Escape to Marathon again.

Property had plenty of room for our group. It does need some sprucing up especially outside space which has accumulated a lot of items that have been left by previous vacationers. The grill and flattop need attention. Enjoyed our stay but property needs some work.

Great home in a great location

We stayed for a week in Marathon at this beautiful 4 bedroom home. Location: The location of the home is really perfect. It sits close enough to the main road that you can walk to the grocery store and far enough away that you dont hear the traffic. Its also on a nice walking path that leads you to Sombrero Beach. We also loved that the drive to Key West was only about an hour or so.Outdoor area: We spent a large majority of our time at the house enjoying the beautiful outdoor space. There is a nice deck off of the main living space. Underneath there is a nice shaded area if you need a break from the sun. There is also a nice heated pool, deck chairs, and a hammock. And you get to enjoy this space while watvhing the boats go by on the canal. Also got to see some manatees lounnging in the water.Indoor space: The indoor area was perfect for us. There is a bedroom and bathroom downstairs and then 3 bedrooms and 2 baths upstairs. The kitchen was nice and had everything we could possibly need. Overall this is a fantastic property and I highly recommend staying here if your travels bring you to Marathon. (I did not mention it above but the hosts were fantastic as well).

Marathon Magic

Everything about this property was awesome! Beautiful home, updated kitchen, new appliances, super comfortable furniture - plenty of towels. The outdoor view and pool were perfection! Even the pool floaties! The only problem was we only booked for one week - thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely home. Location -also great! Close to restaurants, the beach and groceries!stores.

We absolutely loved our stay!

This house had everything you need and breathtaking views! The kayaks were amazing to use right from the backyard we even had manatees swim up to us. It is so close to everything you need and right by an amazing beach and multiple children parks and dog parks. Host was very responsive! We loved our stay!

Marathon Key Reunion

Nice property with plenty of room for our group of seven. Lots of fun time relaxing around the pool. We saw manatee almost every day as well as tarpon and other fun wildlife. Our host was responsive and handled any issues in a timely manner.

pictures are deceiving

worst VRBO. the condo was trashed. stuff all over the yard. the freezer was rusted and laying out in driveway. the couch was broken ( which owner offered to fix) but it was filthy. there were pills laying around. diet on floor. the carpet looked like someone tried to bleach the whole thing. it smelled. again ... the couch was stained and gross. we let owner know .... he offerred to clean grill however once you see all of the grease etc, you don't even want to use. we left early. felt like we had bugs on us

Great location

Beautiful area with lots to do. Overall we enjoyed the home and it fit our 4 adults and 4 children (ages 8-12) with plenty of room. Pool was great to keep cool and we did plenty of fishing off the dock. The house has been a little used and abused as some rentals do. The pictures make it appear a little nicer than in person. I’d recommend some better quality bedding/sheets and pool towels.

Great Place for a Big Group

We took a little vacation to the keys with our parents and adult children. We had 10 adults ranging in age from 24 to 80 and fit comfortably. This property is close to shops and very relaxing with the pool and canal. We were able to park our boat right outside of the yard and house was equipped with a cleaning table and freezer for our catch. A drawback was that it took 40 minutes to get through the canal out to sea, but we knew this before we rented and I believe the owner has priced this rental with that in mind. We did not use the BBQs as they had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. Otherwise, our stay was great and very relaxing!
