"Tout s’est très bien passé et l’environnement est paisible et calme. Pour nous qui souhaitions assister au festival de Marciac, le lieu est un peu isolé et éloigné pour rentrer le soir. L’aménagement est minimaliste. Les chambres sont dans les combles avec velux (pas de fenêtre sur les beaux paysages). Une seule salle de bain pour 3 chambres …. "My wife, 7 year old daughter and I decided to have a 2 centre holiday in France, arriving to 4 degrees in Paris from Bangkok's 30 degrees. It was somewhat of a relief to arrive in Madiran at Le Prielle to a balmy 18 degrees. We were joined by my older children 16 & 17 from UK and so were 5 in total. Hotel Henri IV

6/10 Okay

"We stayed for one night at Hôtel Henri IV while travelling through France. We booked due to the hotel’s high Hotels.com score, although on this occasion we struggled to understand why the rating was so high, as the property is clearly showing signs of wear and tear and needs updating. We booked two standard double rooms, numbers 30 and 33. Facilities were inconsistent between the rooms despite them being a similar size. Room 30 had basic tea and coffee facilities, although no milk, while room 33 had none at all. The receptionist kindly offered us a coffee when we queried this, which was appreciated. Bathrooms and bedding were generally clean, although room 33 had marks on the sheets when we arrived, which were changed immediately by staff. The team throughout our stay were polite and helpful. Parking was convenient, with free street parking outside during our stay, plus nearby paid parking options if needed. Overall, the hotel was acceptable for a one-night stopover, but personally I feel there are better options nearby for a similar price unless refurbishment work is carried out."

"Martine is very hospitable and gave us homegrown tomatoes and homemade jam and kept the pool beautiful however the accommodation needs updating, & is not to my standard of hygiene. Something in my bed on the mezzanine made me itch. There is barely any light in the kitchen which made it difficult to cook. The only supermarket is a Super U which is about 11 miles away, nothing in the village. Positives: the pool, the hot water, the proximity to the mountains and Lourdes if you’re of a mind to visit. We left early due to the impending strike by ferry workers."

"We were a party of 17 staying in Projan as it was in close proximity for our son and daughter in law’s wedding in Viella. We had a mix of ages and the only negative comment would be we had anticipated a larger barbecue to cater for the numbers staying. The whole property and spread of accommodation was excellent and more than ample to both entertain and relax. "

"Nous avons passé un super séjour au sein du gîte. Pascal est d'une extrême gentillesse et très arrangeant. Nous avons pu profiter pleinement des différentes piscines, nous avons pu faire toutes les activités que l'on souhaitait faire. Tout ça dans un cadre magnifique, au milieu de la nature.Tout était parfait. Nous recommandons à 1000%. "
