"Palais Moulay said was absolutely excellant. We had a great stay. Honestly it was fantastic value for money. Really central to the main medina, literally within minutes you were right in the center. The riad was beautiful...breakfast was exactly what you would hope for, great choice. The staff were amazingly helpful. We couldnt fault it. I have no idea why it has received the negative views that might put you off going. Thank you so much for the best of stays."

"I travel all year for work and this is the worst hotel i have ever been too. Staff are rude and dont care! Rooms are dated and everything in room was broken including tv, balcony, door iron and safe. Told management but didnt really care Spoke to General Manager Muhammed and he was worse than his staff. Told me he would give me a discount when i go back to hotel as if i ever would. He was rude an arrogant. The changed our room 3 times in 3 days which took hours to do but he couldn't see a problem with that. Rudest General manager iv ever encountered. Pool area is nice with DJ playing but staff just dont care. Im in Marrakech every year and its amazing. Arab culture is so welcoming but this hotel is the opposite. Even every taxi we got in agreed that all they ever heard was problems with this hotel. No wander it has changed names 4 times in past 20 years. Btw is fully under construction but in there true sneaky way they dont tell you. Reception was full of people complaining and all you could hear around the pool area was people with issues with hotel. This was not unique to me. Reviews must be manufactured or fabricated. U must visit Marrakech it is amazing but if you stay at this hotel your trip will be ruined."

"The hotel has some pleasant areas, such as the rooftop area. Staff were friendly and the room was clean, quiet and well laid out. Good location. However, service felt disorganised (emails going unanswered) and things felt quite tired, eg, leaking shower, bulbs missing, sockets not working. "

"We just came from 2 other true 5 star hotels, so this one was a noticeable step down and not one I would rate as 5 star. Was actually fine for the price but not 5 star. Rooms were a bit rough with mold in shower and banged up walls, but otherwise fine. Great location near new city which was very interesting to see after staying in Medina."

"My room was freezing cold. Unfortunately the radiator from 1920 didn’t work. The engineer made 4 trips with different tools at 11:00 at night but still couldn’t get it to work. I slept in my clothes. The shower was lovely but seriously flooded the bathroom with 3 inches of water. My chicken dinner at the Asian restaurant was undercooked which is a recipe for serious illness and rice was $15 extra. Not great value for your money. .the security was oppressive until I understood why and then it was much appreciated. The comped my drink but still "

"The family-owned hotel with everything you may possibly need to make your vacation memorable, and a beautiful vibe. The couple are so friendly, cordial, and personable. It’s located wonderfully: absolutely close to both bus station (in case you are using public transport to/from the town), the Medina, souls, beaches … You cannot beat the cleanliness, the amount of care they provide, and hospitality. I extended my stay and couldn’t think of any other hotel to go before my flight back to London. Thank you so much 💕"

"The stay at Sofitel Marrakech Palais was excellent- amazing service and rooms. Our stay was unfortunately very short and barely an evening spent. But the beds were very comfortable and shower stalls and toilet all appeared modern and newly renovated."
