"Check in was smooth, received code for entrance and door day before. Building very clean, room very clean and had everything that we needed for our 5 day trip. Did not try breakfast as we did our own thing and got a few bits as we had a fridge. Shop across the road which was very good and stocked fresh bread daily. Very close to harbour and restaurants. The only tiny negative was the lack of staff around to answer questions, mostly done on WhatsApp but we were ok with that but could affect your stay if you aren’t so tech or WhatsApp savvy but overall we had an excellent trip, we loved Marsaxlokk and Malta, would definitely stay again at Dun Gorg Guesthouse"

"A gorgeous room that was comfortable, clean and did the job. In a nice location on the beach, fantastic Italian restaurant opposite which is 10/10! The room was not very well soundproofed, could hear others walking up and down but I had earplugs so it didn’t impact me too much. Upon my arrival the receptionist (Sunday receptionist not regular one) just about looked up from his phone to check me in. He told me how to check in and what time breakfast was. I noticed an array of drinks along the side but he said there was not a possibility of buying a drink. This was really disappointing as there wasn’t a shop close by and I had to walk 10 mins just to get a bottle of water or cold soft drink. Upon walking around the hotel I found a beautiful rooftop view with a pool, loungers and a toilet which was very well maintained and quiet. Thank fully I explored, as the receptionist didn’t tell me this even existed. Overall I was pleased with the hotel, just a little disappointed with the customer support and lack of available drinks/snacks other than at breakfast, this made it feel like there wasn’t much life in the hotel but again, it served a purpose and looked the part."

"Location is the only plus. The room was filthy: a pizza box was left behind, toilet paper scraps were on the bathroom floor, and a used spoon was behind the TV. To make matters worse, the shower was clogged with a disgusting clump of hair. When I complained, they promised a cleaning service at a certain time, but they arrived three hours late. This place is poorly managed and unhygienic. Find somewhere else to stay."

"This was our third visit in the last 12 months. The hotel is on the sea front, a small sandy beach is just across the road and promenade. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The whole hotel is kept very clean. The rooms are cleaned every day, They are reasonably spacious, a very good bathroom with a good shower. Plenty of storage space, with an open cloths hanging unit with a free to use safe, also a free to use small fridge. A good buffet breakfast, and coffee made to order, the breakfast staff are very attentive and have time to chat with the guests. There are 3 lifts serving from the foyer to the 7th. floor. It is not far from the airport, around 15 to 20 minutes by car, There is a very good bus service by the hotel and there is a public bus service to the airport. There are some restaurants close to the hotel and the area is generally very quite."

"Fantastic place to stay - highly recommend to everyone. Room was really spacious and comfortable. Quiet hotel, great location - only a 10euro bolt from valetta and a short drive to lots of coastal areas. Staff were really helpful and courteous, dinner was delicious. "

"The host was incredibly kind and helpful. Efficient transfer to and from the airport was arranged on request. A wonderful welcome package was provided with everything we needed to get started. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped. A beautiful traditional Maltese dwelling, but with unique features and interior design. Location is wonderful, placed in the centre of a traditional Maltese village, particularly good if you want to be away from the crowds. Quick and easy access to Valletta via Bolt which is great value. Highly recommended."
