Absolutely breath taking city, obviously very old and not the cleanest but if you can look past that there is a high wealth of culture and variety! Very historically rich. Public Transport is incredibly easy, clean and cheap. Reasonably priced!

A very nice city, beaches, history, museums, food, cannot think of anything there wasn't within easy reach. The street art may not be for all but that's not a reason not to go. Felt busy but not crowded.

The city must have been very lovely once upon a time. Beautiful buildings and avenues well planned. One needs to stroll different neighbourhoods, like 8th, in order to get a full impression (also to feel more safe ) 😁

We used the hop on hop off bus. It is not a great value and there are better options. We went on the boat out to the island and had a good time and it was worth the 11 euro per person.

I have been to Marseille three times always around the old port. It's definitely something worth seeing. But not necessarily a place to return to multiple times.

Evening receptionist great. Took extra steps unprompted to get my bottle of wine chilled, then drew map of local wine shops to explore.
City shut down street for a few weeks which caused our driver additional half hour in traffic. Hotel should post a notice on web or email guests scheduled to arrive to clarify back door dropoff address."

Luca at the concierge was truly hospitable. He gave great recommendations and was always willing to help. Genuinely friendl and sincere. More concierges should give service like him. Lea at the reception was also quite friendly and welcoming. We appreciated her.
