"Great pub , nice food , brilliant ambiance. Our room was small but very comfortable and functional also finished to a high standard - tea /coffee making facilities were great ! "

"The accommodation was a little tired, but clean enough for the age of the property. The staff were very accommodating and polite, although unfortunately replenishing the coffee/ tea etc in the room hadn't been done and a used cup from the previous occupant was left. Didn't eat at the accommodation, although the breakfast was lovely and plentiful."

"The rooms and bathrooms are lovely and big. Bed was extremely comfortable. Ample parking. Amazing evening meal and breakfast which was cooked fresh to order with waitress table service. The highlight was the hotel team, particularly Christine who was extremely helpful with every aspect of my stay. Very many thanks. Katie"

"A lovely old world pub, the highest in Britain. Lovely ambience, cosy bar areas and nice rooms. Just a few scruffy areas like the carpet going up to the accommodation and the ceiling and floor of the bathroom sliding door area. However it is understandable with being a busy pub with people with work boots and walking boots constantly in and out. The food was good, with lots of choice and well cooked. We had a slight blip checking in but it was sorted out quickly and efficiently. Overall a lovely stay in an iconic pub with a great atmosphere."

"Great location and really friendly & helpful staff. Although there were none visible during our stay, dogs are welcome for a small charge. Parking is understandably at a premium due to its village location. Check out of 10am but people naturally leave there cars whilst going for a walk. This means the car park was still full at the 3pm check in time. There is spare parking available at another property but it’s always best to have your car where you’re staying. Superb walks from the doorstep up to Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and round to the beautiful Janet’s Foss. We had a meal in the Lister Arms whilst we stayed there. Although it was nice we felt it didn’t live up to the AA rosette standard they’ve been awarded. The breakfast however was amazing. Fresh( & we presume) local produce that was hot and plentiful. Cereals and toast as well as decent tea made it a hit "

"We stayed in cottage 3 only one night unfortunately as I could look at that view from our window forever. The cottage was spotless and lovely and warm and there was everything you could need for a longer stay . The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Most of all very,very dog friendly , excellent ! "
