"The Helaina is a very high standard of bed and breakfast property. We stayed in a Premium Double room on the top floor. The room was very spacious with an excellent bathroom/shower. This room is reached by 6 flights of stairs of varying lengths (it is on the 3rd floor), so not for the infirm or those with heavy luggage. "We loved it here, room had a gorgeous view and the family room wa spacious. Bunk bed was a bit creakky (but our kids were probably too big for them really.) Fab locations for the northbay side where there is lots to do. Breakfast was AMAZING! "

"2 night stay in a single room. I arrived well before check in time so the room was not ready. I needed to change clothes and freshen up and the hostess really went out of her way to facilitate this. "I had the top floor classic double room, with own bathroom. Lovely hotel all together struggled with stairs but other than that thoroughly enjoyed it. Messages were answer straight away, wasnt sure about check out but staff were onsite to help. Walking distance from beach and 5 mins in car to food and all amenities, barely any sound, on street parking can be difficult to park close but there was enough area "

"Lovely hotel close to Scarborough sea front and a 10 minute walk to the town centre. Wonderful hosts, nothing too much trouble. Excellent full English breakfast! Booked a sea view with a four poster bed, room had lots of character with everything we needed. Didn’t hear any noise from other guests. The hotel even has a beautiful garden to relax in. Can’t wait until our next visit."
