An absolute Treat-Perfect for couples & families - Walking Dist to Shen River!

"It was quite nice here -- peaceful! Winding road up to the cabin had some lovely views. We liked the large TV with its many, many channels, theater seats, and large comfortable beds. A heads-up to seniors -- the tub and shower floor are very slippery, and there are no grab bars -- might be a good idea to ask the hostess for rubber mats, or get permission to bring them yourself. There is about an 8" drop at each bedroom door (to the sunken living room), so guests should be extremely careful not to putt around the cabin in the dark. Cabin is sure enough on the river, but you had to walk across the street to see it. Thanks Annette, for your kind attention to our guest-needs!"

"We enjoyed our stay at Rustic River Cabin. The riverfront setting is beautiful and peaceful, and the cabin has a lot of charm.A few things could be improved. The hot tub controls kept locking, so the jets would not work normally. Donna answered when I called and said she would try to contact her handyman. I found that switching the breaker off and back on temporarily unlocked the controls, but they locked again shortly afterward. I mention this so it can be properly checked for future guests.The cabin could also use more attention to cleaning. We noticed cobwebs and dead bugs around the windows, dog hair on the couches, and the couch fabric is quite worn.The trash arrangement was also surprising. Guests must take all trash with them and drive several miles to a county trash station. Considering the price of the rental, an onsite trash container or pickup service would be a much better solution.Overall, we enjoyed the location and our stay. With some attention to the hot tub, cleaning, furniture, and trash disposal, this could be an even better place."
