"It was a lovely hotel. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The down side it was a bit tired, I was in room 226 and the plug was rusted, bath stained but clean if that makes sense. The tables at dinner time were still full of glasses and plates from previous diners but that’s it, not a massive massive deal but more of a get that right and 5 star all the way. Would definitely stay again though. I didn’t use any of the facilities "

"This is an excellent pub. The service was exceptional, the food was very good and the ambience and atmosphere fantastic. This is a characterful old building with lots of books and crannies. Good beer too. The accommodation is good - a little like motel accommodation at the back of the pub in separate purpose-built buildings. It was comfortable and suited our needs well. Would definitely return. "
