Escape to Peace and Tranquility at High Ridge Cabin 1

10/10 Excellent

"The solitude and beauty of this location cannot be emphasized enough. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, even though civilization isn't too far away. The fireflies should be on the brochure. Our one complaint would be the cooking situation. I think the controls on the oven are broken, and the small kitchen is sparsely equipped, and one of the pans was badly burned before we even got there. I would suggest eating out. The fire hot tub is heavenly. Squire Boone Caverns was better then expected and just minutes away. A sensational value."

"Close to highway, kinda weird to be on a one-way road, but not their fault. Price was good for a summer weekend. The room has seen some better days and the toilet was very slow to refill. Sink was outside of bathroom, big plus. Small fridge with no freezer section. Bfast was very minimal, there is a waffle iron but we had 3 shots at it and couldn't get it right. A new one would do wonders. Ok hotel and the price could be right, but there are many others off the same exit."

"Staff was great the hotel room was great was a few things that stuck out. Like the bath didn’t work shower worked great couple dirty spots on the floor overall was a affordable nice hotel the location sucks with traffic and the location can be sketchy just keep head on a swivel"

"I had a really good stay here. The outside of the property looks a little rough at first, but don't let that fool you; the room was clean, updated, and much nicer than I expected. It was actually the nicest Red Roof Inn I've stayed at. Housekeeping came by during my stay, replaced my towels, and even cleaned the shower, which I really appreciated. They didn't remake the bed, but that wasn't an issue for me at all. I also had my key card stop working once, and the front desk quickly reprogrammed it with no hassle. Overall, I had a comfortable stay and would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area. Great value for the price."

"One of the best low cost hotels we've stayed at. They seem to care quite a lot. - We stayed here a few days while our road was being worked on about 8 miles away. Nice safe area. - Underside of grab bar in bathtub is dirty - might be mold (minor issue) - Decent swimming pool outside - No odd smells or sticky floors - have ran into this at other low priced hotels - Tub is a triangle - made it fairly roomy - Good hot water, OK water pressure - Lounging armchair & desk chair - Beds are comfortable - Dispensers for soap, shampoo & conditioner - better than those little bottles & bars of soap - Frig & microwave - Nicer than expected with such a low price per night - Next door to a McDonald's - on other side of a line of trees - can't see it from hotel lot - a positive - No exercise facilities - was not expected at this price - We would stay here again no doubt"
