The title says it all- this was a lovely hotel, and we enjoyed everything about our stay. The location was perfect, the room was very comfortable, breakfast was lovely, etc. the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, as well. We will certainly return on or next trip to Volterra!

This was a perfect retreat after a hectic week! I wish I had the time to stay longer, hope to return someday :) Great location right off the square. Cute and very clean room. Felt very safe at the hotel and in the city as a whole. The front desk gal was extremely friendly and helpful. If you are out and about late at night, be sure to bring both keys with you!

Everything was great. Only one wish that more food choices on the menu for both restaurants.

I will start by saying that we will be back to Villa Nencini next year, and for a full week's stay. Does that tell you something? The location is perfect for the walking trips; the owners/managers are on site; the grandfather is the chef, taking time to hunt the boar and deer for the larder! The rooms are clean and well-appointed, with marvelous views over the ancient Etruscan walls, down the Cessine valley to the Tyreenean Sea. Breakfast and dinner are in what was once the Villa's stable, now...

Villa Porto All'Arco is an old villa that's been converted to a small hotel. Don't come if you're looking for modern amenities. This is more of a trip back in time. You get tall ceilings and original floors from hundreds of years ago. The owners are incredibly nice and helpful. And they serve a great breakfast. Two minor demerits. First, the address didn't show up on our GPS so it was a little difficult to find. Second, it's a five minute walk from the hotel to the main piazza of Volterra. So...

Very clean, nice area and excellent staff!

Very good check in and on, the apartment very clean, the food excellent, love it, Maria in the restaurant was very helpful and good actitude

We stayed here as part of our tour through Tuscany. Although we wanted to visit San Gimignano, we knew that it would be packed with tourists and bus tours, so we wanted to find a place close enough to visit the town, but away from the hectic crowds. Agriturismo Il Casolare di Bucciano perfectly suited those needs; we had a lovely view of San Gimignano from the grounds. Our GPS had trouble finding this place, because it is a rural address, but the personal connection always seems to work - a...

Wonderful place to stay if you have a car.

Rooms were nicely decorated, spacious and very clean. The grounds overall are well maintained. Breakfast was excellent.

Located in a gorgeous hill top picture-perfect sits this jewel of a hotel and spa! You are a 3 minute walk from one of the great restaurants in Europe the two star Arnolfo! Great base to enjoy Tuscany from.

Wonderful. Christine and Helena were very helpful. The apartment very nice and comfortable. The view and the surroundings amazing. Loved it

Simply charming. Located just a block from the Old Town and surrounded by medieval buildings, churches, and towers. Everything was perfect; the breakfast was delicious and made to order. The fruit, bread, and jams were fresh—no preservatives or pre-packaged products. The person in charge of the kitchen was very kind and attentive. The rooms were lovely, featuring antique furniture, and ours offered incredible views of the Tuscan landscape. We were treated like royalty. Furthermore, the location...

Great boutique hotel in the middle of Tuscany. Wonderful views. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We really loved the complimentary wine tasting at their nearby winery! We only wish their rooftop deck would’ve been open for even better views. The hotel and winery are family owned and it’s very clear that they value every guest!

Beautiful property with large rooms, parlors, great staff, great restaurant, etc. We arrived late and the kitchen was closed, but they made one call and re-opened it for us and served an amazing meal with late night enthusiasm on a beautiful deck. The rooms were large, nice baths and very comfortable beds. We wanted to stay another night to relax by the pool and enjoy the wonderful grounds, but they were booked so we had to move on as this was a last minute booking. Great breakfast in the...

Martina was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel facilities and breakfast were amazing. The property is located just a few minutes from the town of San Gimignano, making it a perfect base for exploring the area.
