"Good things first. The room was clean and spacious. I was alone, but a family would be comfortable there. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic. I requested lake view and could technically see the lake from my door. Not so good things. The road down to the property is horrific. I have an SUV, and I was still worried about damage to my vehicle. The toilet didn't work in my unit. I had to plunge every time just to get it to flush. I wish the door to the unit would have had a screen. The pictures on the site are somewhat deceptive, because they don't give an accurate portrayal of the room you are booking. I chose my cabin because the pictures showed a bed, close to the glass door, with 2 chairs on a small deck, with the lake in front. Turns out they use this pic on all their cabin options, but it wasn't at all what I booked. The area around the resort is nice. Very close to restaurants and convenient stores. The people in the Carolinas are so friendly. I hope to visit again some day, but would not stay here. It was ok."

"We booked Meghan’s Place at the last minute…and we are glad that we did. The location was just minutes away from everything. The towns and communities nearby were amazing! We were very impressed with the cleanliness, the beautiful landscape surroundings and most importantly how safe and friendly it was getting around.The apartment was everything Meghan stated on her VRBO listing. Very tastefully planned! The bed was very comfortable and the entire room very clean. When we had a chance to get away we enjoyed the peace and tranquility of her wooded area in her property. Very peaceful. We could stay out there all day. We are outdoors people and love to hike on wooded trails with our puppy Brooke. And this property brought the beautiful outdoors to our door step. Meghan thank you for allowing us to stay 3 nights here. We loved your property and would love to come back to visit again in the late fall. We managed to hike one of the trails in a nearby natural preserve park just minutes away but were not able to do the others because of family matters. But next time we will experience the other trails the Carolinas have to offer near your area."

"The host was the BEST we have ever had!! Speedy communicator and extremely accommodating. The house was so well stocked with everything a family gathering could need. Everyone enjoyed the spaciousness of the house as well as the large pool, hot tub and boat!!!!"

"Fantastic lake views from numerous well furnished decks. Including a large deck directly over lake. Wonderful infinity swimming pool. Our two grandsons could not get enough playing by lake, on the decks and in the pool. There was a problem with the HVAC when we checked in. Host responded immediately and somehow managed to get a repairman out within a few hours. Problem solved. Only negative was the upstairs bedroom has no blinds or curtains, morning sun is pretty bright. Overall we give it a ten."

"This updated cottage was perfect for us and our dogs! The kitchen was well-equipped, bed was comfy and the screened porch was awesome! Everything was super clean throughout. Nice lake view, beach and dock. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Great location that felt like a private getaway, but close to anything we needed. The floor plan would work well for two couples or a family with kids. Thanks for a wonderful week! "

"We had such a wonderful stay! The hosts were very very responsive and they go above and beyond for their guests. The lake was absolutely beautiful, and we loved seeing the sunsets every evening by the water. Thank you for everything!"

"The hot tub didnt work. The water was super cold. We are from Charlotte and it was our kids Spring break. The main reason we chose this location was bc of the pool amd hot tub and we were not able to enjoy it at all bc ot was cold. The hold did turn it on for us but the water never got warm amd she said she would have to call a technician but no one ever came. We ended up leaving a day early."
