"The in-unit sauna is lovely, and the unit had all that we needed for a short stay. We've stayed in the Mountainside Villas 3 times, and always enjoy the amenities, especially the proximity to the Rec & Fitness Center. The villa could have used a deep clean, and hot water had a hard time getting to the upstairs shower, but otherwise a great time for the whole family!"

"We had a very leaky toilet. Came out twice to fix and the third time they flat out said they would not be back till we were gone. So the bathroom was a constant flood if we turned water on and they did not give us enough towels (3 for 5 people to a sleep 6 condo). Asked for more and they gave us 3 more. Had to share towels the whole time because we needed the extra to soak up the flood. Saying this, they did offer to move us during the middle of our stay, but with a day and 1/2 left it wasn’t worth packing up to unpack again then pack to leave. Too much for two families "

"Check-in was quick. However, we could not get into our gated community. Our key cards didn’t work on the gate nor the rental. Security sent and got new keys, they still didn’t work. They moved us next door. Went through 5 keys before one worked. There was a wash cloth in the kitchen floor upon arrival of the first rental. "

"It was our first trip since 2019 and were really excited. When we arrived around 4:30-5 pm and went inside ourfirst impression was that it was very nice. Shortly after, we noticed the some unsanitary conditions. There was a blood stain in the middle room on the blanket then when we went into the primary room there was a stained blotch (which looked like dried blood) so we decided to sleep on the couch, My daughter (12) pointed out we had no privacy since there was no blind in the kitchen over the sink, no blinds on the sliding glass door and we were really close to the slopes so we moved the bar stools in front of the sliding doors and put a blanket over them to get as much privacy as we could. Other people have had the same concern. I noticed there was tape in the corners where others had the same concerns. The handrails leading downstairs were filthy. I'm sorry, there is no other way to put it. I used about half a container of Lysol wipes to try and clean them. The primary bathroom had vomit drips on the wall in front of the toilet. That was also quite gross. The door handle was very jiggly, and we thought we were alone there so I put a chair under the handle to help my daughter and myself feel more safe. I read about about the issues with internet service and read it was addressed but the connection was terrible and she had to use my hotspot. "

"We were a group of six including adults and teenagers. We loved the spaciousness of this home! There was lots of room to hang out together or separate. We also really enjoyed the balconies and patios. The closest national park entrance was Swift Run Gap and it was only about a 20 minute drive. The kitchen was also stocked enough with pots and pans for us to cook several meals in. Overall, we loved this place and it was perfect for our trips to Shenandoah National Park!"
