"Hugely disappointed with the male receptionist who gave me an adjoining room on two occasions despite me specifically not asking for one. Second time he gave me the room knowingly without advising me that it was still adjoining and when questioned the next day, told me that was the last of the rooms. When I asked him why he didn’t tell me that at the point of giving me the key so I could have gone elsewhere to stay, he was unapologetic and just didn’t respect the fact he’d lied to me and that I’d not slept all night. This was due to a previous scary experience at an alternative hotel and the fact I could hear the guy next door snoring and making awful noises all night. I barely slept and had to wedge a chair against the door handle out of paranoia. Tbh I should have received a full refund for purposely being misled and an apology."

"The hotel was decent with friendly staff. I paid extra for an upgrade to the corner suite, but it was disappointing — dirty window with a big awkward beam blocking the view, sofa not facing the TV, cheap desk in the middle of the room, and the beds weren’t amazing either. Plus the fire alarm went off twice at 7am. The VIP lounge had minimal options and no atmosphere, but the sky bar was amazing, clean, and had a great vibe."

"Overall, my stay was enjoyable & the staff were nothing but polite & helpful - I can see how hard everyone is working there to provide an excellent service but I have the following issues to report. I stayed in 'Botham' which is a large room/suite. 1. There was a fault with the lights, meaning that the only light available to me was the 2 bedside lights - considering the room is a suite, this was inadequate. I reported the issue & the manager came quickly to try and resolve the matter, but despite resetting the trip, the lights kept tripping out. The hotel was fully booked, so a couple of portable LED lamps were provided - not great, but the best that could be done. 2. The sash window was jammed partly open, so noise from outside in the morning woke me at 6.45am. 3. The shower didn't drain properly, so when I stepped out of the shower, almost the whole bathroom floor was flooded. 4. The wall in the bathroom by the sink is badly marked (as a result of the towel rail becoming detached at some point by the look of it). 5. The ceiling in the pool looks a bit tatty, with quite a few slats missing. 6. I ordered a burger & fries & it was OK, nothing special in all honesty - just OK. 7. There is a low-frequency humming noise near the restaurant - could be an AC fan or something, but it's quite loud & detracts from the dining experience - it must drive the staff mad! The hotel just needs some TLC & a bit of a spruce up, but despite the above points, I would stay again."

"Rooms and hotel are really nice. Did notice a long hair which obviously wasn’t mine on bathroom floor so maybe could do with more thorough cleaning. My main gripe which won’t affect everyone but did me was my shower head was broken and the internet didn’t really work in my room. I asked if I could change but they didn’t have any others so I just had to do without as no phone signal in it either weirdly. The shower head I could have lived with but working WiFi in the rooms of hotels isn’t optional these days. Still would happily stay again as nice hotel good price. Just would make sure I was in another room this time and hopefully they fix the shower. My room was 228 in case they read."
