"We had an stress-free stay at The New Yorker during a non-rush period. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city near Penn Station, Madison Square Garden, and a short walk to Times Square. It is an ideal spot for walking to major attractions or catching a subway anywhere in the city. Our room was consistently cleaned on a daily basis, and the housekeeping staff did a good job. The reception desk staff were friendly, professional, and attentive to any concerns we had. However, be aware that the hotel is "old school" and you have to pay for basic amenities, including a fee to store bags after checkout. Despite this, the convenience and safety, especially with security at the elevators, make it a great option."

"We had a view of NYC across the river which was gorgeous. The hotel is right on the water so a ferry ride to the city was very convenient. Above all the staff was exceptional, especially housekeeping. They were all extremely accommodating. The only negative I can think of was that it wasn’t surrounded by retailers and restaurants. There were a few. We walked about 10-15 minutes into Hoboken for breakfasts, etc if we wanted something close by. "

There were dirty socks on the floor, hair in the shower, scuff marks on the bedding, etc. When we emailed customer service we got a response that was clearly written by AI. It said cleaning stuff would be coming to check it in the morning. Cleaning staff didn’t come at all during our 3 day stay. "
