"Excellent location for viewing Mérida's outstanding Roman ruins. Lovely breakfast staff. Front desk could do a bit better on communication. They told us they were reserving breakfast for us at 11am but the was actually the time they closed. We even confirmed the time before leaving the front desk. Also they could not seem to understand I had reserved TWO rooms one for TWO people and the other for ONE person. Admittedly our Spanish isn't perfect but we do live in Spain and understand more than we can speak. Overall I'd say stay here if you have never been to a parador because it's a beautiful historic property in good proximity to the ruins and town center. "

"The property is beautiful. Next to the Plaza España and close to the train station. The room was quiet and spacious. An excellent Italian restaurant next door and walking distance to all the major Roman sites. Breakfast was very good. The hotel was all that I hoped for."
