Bank Cottage is an 1880's terrace situated in the historic Emerald Hill district of South Melbourne.great walk to South Melbourne market and coffee in the local village of Albert Park

It is an easy walk to the Grand Prix and South Melbourne's many bars, cafes, restaurants including the bustling South Melbourne Market. Convenient to public transport, Bank Cottage is a great place to stay whilst exploring cosmopolitan Melbourne.

Bank Cottage was fully renovated to include a new bathroom and kitchen, whilst not sacrificing any of its period charm. It has a huge secure courtyard-back garden, with outdoor dining and BBQ facilities.
It has hydronic heating and is air conditioned, so winter and summer in Melbourne are not an issue,
a comfortable , luxurious lounge dining area, nice antiques and design leather couch and armchairs.The two bedrooms are spacious and airy, a queen bed is in the front bedroom and in the second bedroom,a king size bed which splits in to two king singles.All bed linen is Belgian flax linen.
It easily accommodates 2 couples or a small extra bed can be supplied

Designed with the traveller in mind, Bank Cottage is equipped with European appliances throughout the kitchen and separate laundry.

We enjoyed our stay in this updated terrace house in an upscale neighborhood not far from the amazing South Melbourne market. Transit is only a block or two away, and downtown is a 30 min walk.

This property is in an awesome location and provided a quiet place for us to attend Moomba 2023 in Melbourne. It in in walking distance to terrific Melbourne locations, restaurants and patisseries. The house is welcoming and everything is quality. I highly recommend this property and Chris is a very helpful and accommodating host. Five stars from us.

Enjoyed our stay here . Chris was very thoughtful and left great provisions. It’s a proper home and has nice back garden. The wet room was super and the house was an interesting property. South Melbourne market only minutes away on foot and station nearby. Close to Albert Park and it’s great cafes and bars.

Short walk to the great cafes & market. Would of been great to have a little bit of milk in the fridge and some tea bags. Outside area was disappointing lots of weeds & a bit dirty so not inviting to sit out there.

This house feels like a home. The prints, owls, birdcages, books, and I could go on, are so welcoming. Location to shops, the beach, the market, Southbank etc. was wonderful for accessing these experiences. Topped off with a great pub and cafe just several doors away. We look forward to coming back, hopefully for longer. Thank you 😊

Lovely narrow cottage with courtyard. Decorated with colourful posters and interesting maps. Comfortable and convenient to market and pubs. Tram around the corner. Gorgeous gardens 2 minutes walk. Host was welcoming and contactable.
