With your own private entrance, from underneath the giant canopy trees and past the potted plants you`ll enter into an old renovated 1910 apartment building where the warm furnishings and bohemian decor are sure to make you feel at home and relaxed :) Resting in a fantastic central Midtown location you`ll be walking distance to many great restaurants and bars or a short uber (5min) to downtown and the famous Beale St where you can always catch some amazing blues performances. Enjoy!
I tried to bring the outside in; with hanging plants and tranquil furnishings to make you feel like you`re on a retreat. The apartment is recently renovated with a brand new bathroom.
The pebble stone shower floor fills great on your feet and I have soaps and shampoos for you.
You`ll have everything you need here for a great stay; comfy queen sized bed, a full size sofa bed, gas apartment size stove and oven, nice size fridge with freezer, kitchen stocked with the essentials (olive oil, salt & pepper etc.) and a TV dialed in with WIFI so you can kick back with your feet up and catch up on your latest favorite series.
There is free shared laundry right down stairs in the basement where you`ll find two washers and two dryers and laundry detergent for you to use - **please note it is a shared laundry and not in the unit itself**
You will have full access in the apartment; there are no locked doors or cabinets.
You`ll receive a digital code a three days before your arrival for the front door which means that 24 hour check-in is no problem at all! Any questions and we can be reached 24 hours a day by sending us a quick message.
I will send you a text with a link to my guidebook I`m working on before your arrival but you will also have additional information inside the apartment with contacts, transportation and other general info
From the front of the property and 100 yards down the street brings you to a bustling corner with a jazz restaurant, Moroccan and Mexican restaurants and, of course, a delicious BBQ joint. Keep walking or take a short uber another .75 miles to Overton square, one of Memphis` most happening areas with a host of other restaurants and bars.
Head downtown the other direction in a short uber ($6) and you`ll find yourself engulfed in Memphis` blues scene on the famous Beale street.
In addition to the many great eateries (which you`ll find in the guidebook i`ll send you) there are several parks nearby and places to relax.
Getting around: its easiest to Uber or Lyft. Downtown is a quick 5 min and overton square is less than a mile away!
Memphis also just got the `Bird` electronic scooters. You will see them all over Midtown and Downtown and are can hop on one after downloading the app for a very minimal price - plus it`s a great time!
Aside from Uber, Lyft, and the `Bird` electronic scooters, you will also see bike racks with public bikes (called Explore) spread around Midtown that you can also use for a small fee. You`ll find several bike racks located right off Madison Ave.
From the airport it`s easiest just to Uber or Lyft (around $15) if you don`t have a rental car. If you have a rental car you can easily find the place with Google or GPS
The apartment is on the first floor and part of a building with 7 other apartments. There is free shared laundry right down stairs in the basement where you`ll find two washers and two dryers - **please note it is a shared laundry and not in the unit itself**
**PLEASE NOTE** the front porch upstairs is a shared space but you are more than welcome to use it. It is not connected directly to the apartment**
**CAUTION** If you have the heater turned on please be careful of the floor grate where the heat comes out as it can get hot when it`s on. Please be mindful not to step on it barefoot to avoid an injury.
