More bedding, and some instructions would be nice

We liked staying in a historic building, but the we didn’t feel very secure. The front door often was not locked, and the door to the apartment was pretty thin, and didn’t have a deadbolt. It also was strange that the unit was billed as having a Murphy bed and a sofa bed, but the sofa bed was really just a sofa. There also were no sheets for the sofa (only one sheet in the unit). The lights were very dim and all on a single switch, so there was not much light in the apartment at night. It also was impossible to change channels on the TV (but was could lower the volume). I’d really suggest some sort of instructions for renters on how to work the TV, heat/air unit. There is a great breakfast place across the street, and plenty of street parking. The location was really convenient to getting downtown (with a car).

Loved this little place

Adorable property. Oksana is the best, and very responsive to our numerous questions. We loved the peace and quiet there and Uber rides to Beale only $10. We hope to come back soon!

Memphis Stay

When we arrived into the apartment it smelled horribly of Marijuana. It lessened in the outer rooms but remained in the bedroom. The Bedspread and sheets reeked of it. I had to sleep in on the couch in the living room, it was giving me a headache. I'm not sure why the "cleaning crew" would not have let the owner know of this so that it could be corrected, but it was bad. also the floors were very dirty. I walked around in bare feet most of the time and my feet got filthy. the 2 ceiling fans were also cacked in dust on the edges. The apartment itself was very unique and would have been fun to stay but we had to leave after the first night and get a hotel room. We couldn't stay there another day, it just smelled so bad.

Liked cleanliness, amenities. Did not like size, very small, guessing about 140 sq ft. Electricity went out second night and owner didn't respond to several attempts to reach her. This was dissappointing since we had met her earlier. Also courtyard misrepresented. It was a mess. Sorry we chose this apartment.

You decide if this is the place for you, I would not stay here again!!! The claim is assigned parking, when we arrived there were no parking spots in front of the apartment! It is street parking and nothing truly assigned! I called both phone numbers listed in the hallway for help. I got voicemail on the first number. The second number a woman answered but a few seconds into the conversation, the call dropped. I received a call the next day stating she was boarding a flight and we got disconnected, really??? The area is spooky at night and you won’t feel safe arriving when it’s dark! A sign in the bathroom reads, “We are kindly asking you please not put toilet paper or toiletries in the toilets“. So, what to do with soiled toilet paper 🤔 There was laundry in the dryer. There was candy wrappers and change in a nightstand drawer. The garden patio is filthy and nothing like the sparkling pictures in their advertising. The bathroom is at the far end from the bedroom, through three room and up three winding steps at the middle room level. A used coffee packet was found in the Keriug. No soap for the dishwasher, and no stoppers for the sink to wash dishes. The only city view is out the kitchen window. Bedroom windows stare into a brick wall five feet away.

Location and parking good. Cleanliness not so good. Mold in bathroom in shower and atomizer. Lint in dryer hadn’t been emptied in a long time. Not enough chairs to eat or towels and wash clothes for six registered guests. Air conditioning variable. Owner was responsive. Nice historical area. Restaurant for breakfast across St excellent!

The location was great, quiet & the decor was beautiful. Had a few issues with things left from the guest before me, & the heat in my unit not working. Otherwise, a great stay, great comfortable beds and a full service kitchen. This was a last minute trip & the check in/out was painless and quick.
