The Peabody is a unique hotel for more reasons than just the fantastic live ducks in the fountain. From the classic wall built phone booths to the giant golden dog statues, there is something fun to discover everyone you look.

Sad stay in Memphis

The hotel parking garage was destroyed and couldn't park but luckily there weren't many people there, so we parked by the door, and they comped the parking charge. The TVs in the hotel weren't working, the AC wasn't working so they put fans in each room which didn't help much at all and we didn't get a refund or discount. Brown toilet water the entire time and black bugs came out of the tub faucet each time.

The only issue I had was the AC wasnt working during our stay so it was hot. However, the staff did let us know of the issue on arrival and let people choose whether they wanted to stay. We were only there for one night so we toughed it out. Our stay was pleasant otherwise, and if we are ever in town for a Grizz game I would book here again.

Not happy with any of the service from Hotels.com

When I checked in there was no air conditioning, no lights in the elevator and when I wanted to take a shower there was no hot water. I was only staying one night because I was just passing through on a long road trip and the main reason for me to stop is to be able to take a shower. Nobody did anything to compensate me including Hotels.com

Horrible! No hot water or AC. Apparently they hadn’t had hot water for several days but didn’t notify us until we were checking in. So we couldn’t make alternate arrangements and were stuck there. Dirty towels in room, lights in elevator burnt out, no wifi in room. This place was beyond disappointing.

Our stay was not very good. Air conditioning was out. The room was 96 degrees. The hot water did not work so we had to take a freezing cold shower. Only one elevator was in working order. The staff was powerless to do anything as the situation was out of their control. Unfortunately, this was the worst stay I’ve experienced in my life.

The staff was very nice and helpful at check in. The property is poorly maintained. Besides outdated rooms with chipped furniture, the air conditioning wasn’t working. It was 82 degrees in our room all night. I suspect that was not a new development because there was a box fan in the room when we arrived. Also, there were no functioning lights in the one working elevator until someone stuck a puck light up, providing minimal lighting. It would have been nice if these things had been mentioned at check in.
