"The room was spacious and clean. The A/C was quiet and consistent providing the perfect white noise for sleeping. Excellent location with several gas stations and a walmart near by. The breakfeast was good enough but the coffee maker was on point. Almost like having a Starbucks in the lobby. Would definitely stay again."

"It is an older place but some things was remodeled on the inside- Floors redone in bedrooms. The toilet itself was very low (for Child height) Bedding was clean- Staff all spoke & friendly. Breakfast was a nice assortment. The view off the Balcony was nice, we would go back again."

"The beds are upstairs and it is very steep for older couples,would not recommend small children,ended up sleeping on sleeper sofa for both nights,steps were just to much for my wife and I,other than that and some clarification as to the pet fee it was a good stay for us and very peaceful.Thank you"

Moondance Cabin at Red River Gorge - Hot Tub

"Our family of Four (2 college aged boys) stayed at Moondance Cabin in June of 2026. Awesome time! Before we even arrived, Brad (cabin owner) provided clear directions to help us prepare for the trip and arrive without any issues. He also gave lots of tips to help enjoy the area and get a sense for fun activities, hikes, restaurants, etc. We had a question during our stay and Brad was really friendly, responsive, and helpful, which is a great feeling as a guest. The cabin was in beautiful condition and has a cozy, covered front porch and a fantastic, covered back porch with serene, beautiful views from the screened in sitting area, more open sitting area, and hot tub. We spent a lot of time out there together and could enjoy the space rain or shine. We also liked the open kitchen area and family room. Really a great fit for our family. A wee bit of a drive to some of our destinations, but we passed by lots of scenic areas along the way, and it was a total non-issue for us. Highly recommend and will be our go-to spot if/when we make our way back to the Red River Gorge area one day."

"Very nice cabin and secluded location. Could only see one other cabin from the front porch. A little hard to find and you’ll probably want to drive a 4WD to get to it if possible. The steps could be an issue for anyone who can’t do stairs. We enjoyed the hot tub. Bring your own coffee for a drip coffee maker."
