Hotel Splendid

"Hotel was kept very clean and furniture very well maintained. AC worked well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Shower worked great. The massage was very good although 60euros for 30 mins was a bit expensive. We didnt mind paying the 5% tip they asked for. Sauna facilities looked great although we didn't use them. Beautiful property with sunrise. For 30euros, the breakfast should be improved. Lunch options were also very expensive for the quality of food and unfortunately, there are not many restaurants options if you dont have a car. We stayed for some time so the food was getting to us. Also the gym wasnt free and not impressive."

"We had an amazing stay at Hotel La Palma in Stresa! The hotel is beautiful, the location is perfect, and our entire experience was wonderful. A very special thank you to our housekeeper, Juliana, who truly made our stay even better. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and took such wonderful care of our room throughout our stay. Everything was always immaculate, and her warmth and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We absolutely loved her! We had such a lovely time at La Palma and would happily return. Highly recommend!"

"The hotel is very scenic and the grounds are lovely especially the pool area. Staff are very helpful too, room was perfect, good size and comfy bed. You can relax here all day and the views are amazing. It’s a bit of a walk up so recommend coming by car/taxi but going down is ok and a supermarket at the bottom and bus stop where you can get to town within 10 mins and Varese nord station. The only negative is the food, it just wasn’t to my liking and good value. I would definitely come back."

"We loved every single thing about this beautiful hotel. It sits majestically nestled in an elevated position overlooking lake Maggiore with attractive well maintained grounds. The staff were excellent at every stage and incredibly obliging. The food including breakfast was delicious. Every Thurs night is a wonderful barbecue out on the terrace with the backdrop of the gorgeous lake which was a particular highlight. There is decadence, luxury and Italian style throughout the hotel with many gorgeous rooms to enjoy on the main hotel floor. The immaculate bedroom and sumptuous bathroom we had was on the 3rd floor overlooking the lake from a wonderful balcony, a breathtaking view that is imprinted in our minds. For us a very special hotel in a beautiful location with professional exemplary friendly staff. The owner chats to guests every morning at breakfast which is a lovely personal touch. A welcome drink greets you on your arrival at the hotel and a minibar with largely soft drinks and beer is complementary and restocked every day. We also had a complementary bottle of wine in our room and every night with the turn down service some delicious petit fours appeared as an additional treat. The hotel can arrange a private boat from their own jetty to take you to the 3 Borromean islands which though an expensive luxury provides a tailored service that was extra special. A very warm thank you to All the staff who made our stay absolutely amazing. We would return in a heartbeat."
