Nice breakfast

Great place to stay if you want to ski at Meribel and the three valleys. Can’t be any closer to the mountain unless you have ski on/ski off, right in the village and next to paid parking area. Includes a wonderful breakfast and dinner. Rooms are basic, though there is a nice balcony. If that’s not a problem this is your place. Ps, staff was wonderful as well.

Very nice place to stay with an excellent bar and restaurant. Although burger place across the street was not very good. Staff speaks English and are professional and helpful. Hotel is very close to a gondola making for easy access to the slopes. One drawback was that our building did not have an elevator.

If you're thinking about staying here, BOOK IT NOW. My wife & I only stayed for one night, but we both wished we'd had more time. The property is BEAUTIFUL and the owners provide FIRST CLASS HOSPITALITY. Our stay included breakfast, and it was perhaps the most amazing breakfast I can remember - with the most delicious homemade jams (as well as many other delicious offerings)! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HAVING US!

Very friendly staff! Whats wonderful location with tidy and clean rooms.

Charming farmhouse experience in a tiny village in the spring. Easy access to Modane train station. Breakfast was excellent, fresh and healthy. Host was very accommodating. Highly recommend!

The front desk staff were so sweet and helpful. We do not speak French, and had an emergency where we needed two different taxis going different directions, we had no idea where to even start. She just picked up the phone and started calling for us and found each of us one right away. They also asked the kitchen at the connected restaurant to let us in before they closed as we got in late the night before. The food was amazing, by the way! The best cheeseburger we've ever had. Everything was...

Very nice people great location ... room little sad and old

Ski-in Ski-out luxury boutique hotel. Great location, within a nice 10 minute walk from the center of the town (1850). Twice a day service, timed while you're out. The staff was outstanding, without exception. They were on top of their game all the way from unloading the car, to bringing up the luggage, to the restaurant staff, to the ski room. The management is clearly very picky in their hiring and training. It almost felt like they were ideologically committed to the hotel. The food...

I have never really written reviews for properties on Expedia previously. This is the first one. I stayed in this place in Aug 2022 while on TMB. I could not find a refuge on the trail and decided to try this venue. I will absolutely do it all over again. To begin with, the owner, Alfred, was very responsive before the trip. He initiated contact through Expedia and made sure that we were on the same page in terms of arrival and departure schedule and made restaurant recommendations. We arrived...

The rooms were clean, the towels soft, soap smells great. The hotel is less than a minute walk from the snow and 4 different lifts. The ski room has lockers for each room with 4 boot driers in each. The spa was very good after skiing, with heated pool, steam room and sauna. Staff is super friendly and helpful, quick to answer questions and give recommendations.

Altapura richly deserves its 5-star rating. The resort is spectacular, and all the amenities are at one's fingertips. The ski school or instructors meet you there, the rentals and ski departures are just at the door, the food, wines, and all amenities are first rate. We took our 9-year old granddaughter and by the end of the week she had made fast friends with 6 other children. They skied, swam, played computer games, took photos in a booth, and fell asleep happy and exhausted. The village is...

One of the best… A must try…. And a definitely coming back!!!
