"Staff are always lovely and welcoming. Our second bedroom was locked but they sent maintenance straight up to our room to open it up. Even with the planes overhead, the rooms are very quiet and no need for the ear plugs that are provided."

"Booked a queen room with breakfast through Expedia for $160. Check-in at 10.45 pm was polite and quick. The first room (335) wasn't what was ordered — a double bed and a single instead of a queen. It also had road noise, an aircon making gurgling sounds, a tiny footprint and a musty bathroom. I called reception after 11pm and was told someone would come up "in a while." When no one did, I went down — the guy who'd answered was making himself a coffee, and the "manager" he'd mentioned was packing up to leave. She told me it would sort itself out in 15 minutes, even though the aircon had already been going for longer than that. Or perhaps it was a known fault and they'd put a guest in there regardless. Either way how was an aircon going to fix itself after 15 minutes, which would be conveniently after she had left? I asked for another room and given a queen room on the 5th floor, which is what I'd actually paid for. The second room (525) was also tiny, with a bathroom like a pod on a cruise ship cabin. The queen bed was firm and the pillows flat and unsupportive — between them, not a room I'd recommend for side sleepers. Breakfast was a budget-style buffet. The scrambled eggs were inedible, and the croissants were more like bread than pastry. I wouldn't have paid the $30 they were charging for it. There are better-value hotels in the vicinity if you need an overnight before or after a flight. My pick is Citadines."

"To be very honest. Stay there’re a bit, purely because it easy when your travelling and will continue too. However! The place is really in need of a good tidy up and an update. Self Check-in is more of a hassle for the staff than the normal check in. It was ( and for the 4 couples behind us) a cluster F. The rooms are tired and the bar is so busy the poor 3 staff were swamped, which created angst amongst travellers, especially newbys whose excitement got the better of them. St Mary’s pub was less confrontational. Needs some work Rydges, or change the name. It a brand damaging situation. The staff deserve a medal. The management? A new career move. "

"I booked an accessible room, not knowing an accessible room meant 'wheelchair accessible '. The living area and bedroom were fine but the bathroom was a challenging for an able bodied person let alone someone with a walking challenges. Someone in the hotel needs to reassess the layout of the bathroom to make it easier for someone who needs 'accessibility'."
