"The hotel is located in Lassi, and is just a short journey from the airport (approx 10 mins). The taxi journey was $20 from airport to hotel, and $25 from hotel back to airport, although a bus is available. The location is absolutely perfect for the amazing Makris Gialos beach, and a 5 minute walk to a supermarket and the beginning of a road full of restaurants and shops. There is a bus stop is directly outside the hotel. It looked as though the hotel and pool area had been completed redecorated recently. Our room was small but clean and tidy, and the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in. The bathroom toilet and basin looked new, but the bath/shower needed an updated – but worked perfectly okay. The staff were brilliant – really helpful and friendly – we had no issues at all throughout our stay. The pool area was great, lots of sunbeds (which looked new) and a bar for drinks etc. We ate out each evening in local restaurants (great value and lovely food), but ate breakfast at the hotel – breakfast was fairly limited in choice and basic, but it was okay. We would definitely stay at the hotel again – not least because of the location opposite the wonderful Makris Gialos beach. "

"We spent 2 weeks in August at Maria’s. Lovely apartments with beautiful surroundings and a gorgeous view. Apartments were basic but had everything we needed. There is a hairdryer (which isn’t mentioned in the description). Check in was easy, we had a late arrival and were advised in advance of our apartment number beforehand and access instructions. Housekeeping was daily and maids were very friendly. As mentioned previously, it is a steep hill up to the apartments but we found it walkable. We walked both to Lassi and Argostoli (about 40 minutes). We would definitely stay here again. "
