The hotel and the rooms are really clean even if it's a old building. The rooms are small but it's not really important when you spend most of your time outside and on the beach.

Your resort fee is a rip off. Wake up Service is non existent. The "pool" is a joke. Your guests should have access to the pool at the Savoy like it use to.

Great location, easy valet parking, very pretty ambiance. The tropical atrium and upper-level pool with a glass viewing wall are lovely. The beach is basically across the street and hotel guests have access to beach lounge chairs and umbrellas, which is great. Some of the staff were very really friendly (the afternoon and evening crew); others not so much. Overall I’m very happy with the Expedia VIP perks and the Expedia service. However, I just noticed a hefty charge on my credit card from the Balfour Hotel that’s more than expected for parking plus whatever fees they must have charged separately from my Expedia booking payment. If those extra charges aren’t reversed, then I’ll be pretty disappointed in the total cost of this stay. So if you’re considering this hotel, be aware of potential fees added on. Otherwise, I completely recommend this hotel for a South Beach getaway.

Great location. Room was small but was all we needed. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The best part of this hotel is the proximity to the beach and the lounge chairs and umbrellas at the beach. I had emailed a question to the hotel but like other reviews mentioned. I never heard back.
