"No breakfast at the hotel. It was extra and no need to take a chance. No pool time so can't share anything on the pool area. They had been digging in the parking lot up front and this was muddy. The main problem was elevators. It has 2 elevators and only one working. The elevator working is old and very slow. It's bad and I don't try and stay at hotels again with elevator issues. It's just not worth the price when you can find cleaner hotels in the same area. Air vents in the room are too dirty. I can see the dust build up and that takes a long time to have that must dust build up. Main floor carpet is worn out and needs repair. Elevator flooring is in need of repair and refresh. I would not recommend this hotel in the future and is not up to Hilton standards that I have seen in the U.S. We travel a lot throughout FL, AL, MS, Tenn., LA, TX, OK, MO, and don't need to rate hotels with not recommended in the past."

"Came into town for a Royals game and Stoney Creek seemed like a great option that wasn't too far away. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean. I loved how close it was to the highway and easily accessible to many different stores or food options. The downside was that the walls seem thin and the gaps in the door frame made for a very loud night. We heard every noise, which for us seemed to be several kids running the halls and slamming the doors all night and early morning. The beds were semi comfortable, but the pillows were not supportive so I longed to be home in my own. Shower was ok with decent water pressure and the hotel provided soaps smelled nice. I didn't care for the bathroom light being outside the door though as it could potentially wake up your travel companions while making that sleepy walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Guess you can't do much about that though! We had high hopes for the breakfast, however, the only thing decent was the sausage. Eggs and potatoes were worth a bite or two but were super cold and not worth eating more beyond that. They would do better with other options such as biscuits and gravy or french toast for those not wanting pancakes (make your own) or bagels. And I couldn't find cold water to drink. I don't know if the price was worth the stay as I have stayed in cheaper places with much better beds and breakfast options."

"I wish I could have stayed more than one night (family medical emergency shortened a longer stay). Charles greeted me as soon as I arrived. Lovely historic interior. My room (Asia room) was done in maroon wallpaper. Spacious and comforting. The bed was very very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was comforting to the belly and heart. Sourdough bread is made fresh on premises. Best part? The proprietor, Charles. Kind considerate honest compassionate excellent conversationalist. Cannot wait to come back for a more leisurely stay. The only downside is that there’s ambient noise. A busy fire station is nearby and there are train tracks in the area. Fear not! My room was equipped with ease plus and a white noise machine. "
