"Our family of 8 stayed here for 3 nights. The communication with the host was great and they gave us excellent advice and suggestions. It was clean and spacious. We did run out of toilet paper and the host told us we needed to buy more that they only provide us with 9 rolls. That was a problem for us bc we were not familiar with the area. The location was ok and neighborhood was a little sketchy We had to Uber every where which was a cost we weren’t expecting. The beds were like sleeping on...

"Came all the way from the United States to Milan, and had this stay confirmed by VRBO. I arrive at the property, only to have a mean security guard yell at me and telling me "that my stay was not valid." I then called the host, only have her say that "this stay is no longer available." I was then stuck in Milan without a place to stay. What a nightmare! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!"

"Lovely and clean property! Good bedroom and bathroom facilities with a nice view from the bedroom balcony. Only a 28 minute walk from the centre or 5 minutes on the metro. Some nice bars and restaurants around the apartment. Only negative is that it is not made clear that you will be sharing the house with the owner and their dog. However this did not affect us and was not disruptive in any way the dog is very cute :) "

"The apartment was perfect for my friend and I. Close enough to walk to all.the sights but I'm a cute, quiet & non touristy neighborhood. Mariella is a fantastic host and I will stay with her again when I return. "

"A very good location and neighborhood with many dining and drinking options nearby. The only drawback was that the staircase to the bedroom is metal and rough on bare feet…bring some slippers!"

"Mariella herself welcomed us to her jewel of apartment in the city center. The building was so secure and a gorgeous mid century gem. It seemed very newly refinished. Mariella’s notes on the tram and restaurants made everything convenient and easy. Thank you, Mariella for such a lovely and cozy welcome to Milano!"

"Host cancelled the booking 3h before check-in because of a hot water issue. Was able to convince them to allow us to check-in anyways because we had no where else to go and travelling with a 10mo old baby. They were not able to fix the hot water the next day and we had to find alternate accommodations last minute. It doesn't look like they even tried to fix the hot water issue. In addition to this, the place was dirty, had hair everywhere, the toilet leak so the bathroom smelled like urine and...

"I liked that the Duomo Cathedral and dining options were all within walking distance. Overall, our stay at Milan Retreats was great. The only thing that could make it better would be a spacious bathroom."
