No refund or No Credit due to COVID

Due to COVID i was not able to travel, US citizens are not allowed in Italy. I reached out to both Hotels.com and Locanda al Duomo. Hotels.com responded they would follow up, haven't heard in a week. Locanda al Duomo did not respond to my messages through hotels.com. My credit card was charged.

I liked the property's location. But the facilities were poor, the air conditioning didn't work, and we had to pull the double bed apart into two singles despite having a confirmation of our booking being for twin beds.

Nice place with extras

Room was good and having the kitchen available is a nice option, but we only used the refrigerator. The elevator is charming, but the best part is the terrace on the roof. A wonderful place to relax in the evening after a long day of travel or sightseeing. Instructions for checking in were easy to follow.

A run down apartment unit Not worth the price!

The place was very average, old and run down! It is debatable whether it was worth the price. The bathroom had sewage foul odor. The air-conditioning unit was old and took a long time to cool the place down. Overall it was not the most pleasant experience.

Clean spacious room but staff texted stating they needed new card details over Whatsapp as Locanda don’t take Amex through Expedia. Declined to do that. Expedia said pay on arrival so paid cash and was asked by concierge to pay excess of €20 for not paying online! Refused. At best unprofessional...

Ad un passo da tutto

La posizione della stanza è ottima per poter girare tutto il centro a piedi e/o con là metro. Anche se non c'è nessuno ad accoglierti all'arrivo le operazioni di check in e accesso alla struttura sono molto facili. Giusto sotto allo stabile ci sono diversi bar dove poter fare colazione. L'unica nota negativa ad essere sinceri è la doccia: c'è soltanto una vecchia vasca con una tenda e nemmeno un gancio dove poter appendere il "telefono" della doccia così si è costretti a tenerlo in mano intanto che ci si lava (quindi abbastanza scomodo). A parte questo lo staff che ha in gestione le stanze è molto gentile e disponibile ed è molto comodo poter lasciare il bagaglio nel loro ufficio dopo aver fatto check out.

Vecchiotto ma confortevole e comodissimo

L'appartamento era in perfetto ordine,spazioso e pulito, anche molto tranquillo nonostante fossimo su una via molto trafficata. Unico neo la cinghia di una tapparella che si è rotta appena presa in mano. Personale discretissimo e molto gentile. Struttura vecchiotta ma con un suo fascino e posizione perfetta con una vasta gamma di mezzi pubblici proprio sotto casa. Credo che torneremo

Zentral gelegenes Appartment Hotel

Schönes altes Haus in Gehdistanz zur Scala und zum Dom. Das Zimmer ist grosszügig, gut eingerichtet inkl. Bügeleisen etc., alles hat viel Charme. Auch das Treppenhaus und der tolle alte Aufzug. Es ist ein Appartmenthotel ohne Rezeption, Extras wie Taxibestellung müssen per Mail gemacht werden. Das Haus liegt an einer Strasse mit Tram, d.h. es ist nicht sehr ruhig. Dafür aber sehr zentral.

You are ten minutes to any main attraction and neighborhood in Milan. Not the most luxurious but if you are staying in the hotel all day then you're doing it wrong. It was kind of an automated b&b of sorts but def worth the money. Not a great business hotel, but great for the traveler...

Номер требует ремонта, мебель старая, ветхая. Не стоит своих денег. Останавливались с ребёнком 13 лет-с ребенка тоже взяли городской налог. Обстановка на фото не соответствует действительности. Персонала нет вообще.

Great stay.

Great location. Felt safe and comfortable. Just down the road of the duomo. No front desk really which was a little confusing initially but the people running it are located downstairs in the cafe shop. You can elect for breakfast there as well for an extra charge but unsure of how much because we looked for breakfast elsewhere. They were very nice. Parking is done via buonaparte parking garage which is located down the road and is an extra charge but came out to around 60 bucks for the two nights we stayed.

Confusing check in

Good location but we were given no information about our room number or how to access the keys. With the help of the bar manager next door we managed to contact the owner but were then told the wrong room. The bathroom was not very clean and the 3rd bed was located underneath a load of shelves, not very convenient or comfortable.

Das frühstück war entäuschenderweise eine Milch und ein Mulino Bianco Kuchen, den wir um 10.00 aufs Zimmet bekamen. Es war nicht sehr sauber und wir hatten keinen Bettdeckenanzug.

Check in was a bit of a hassle. The main entrance was locked and we are supposed to get the room key in a safe inside the building. Made some calls before we were given instruction how to open the main door, but still it will not open. We waited under the rain with our kids before the guy next door who runs the coffee shop and seemed iriritated that we can not speak italian and who refuse to speak english, finally opened the door for us.
