"Casa Abuela was a wonderful place to stay for my famiy and i (4 total). Don't let the humble exterior fool you. The house is truly great. It had everything we needed (full kitchen set up), washer/dryer, comfortable beds and pullout sofa, good wi-fi, heated floors) and is located above a bluff so we had a commanding view of the mountains! My only advice is that being located a few minutes from town and off a dirt road, you may want to arrive before dark. Google Maps is correct, but since the house is in the back of the owner's house, it's better to have a bit of daylight left. "

"Great location, clean and comfortable home with more than ample living spaces for our family of 7. Kitchen is well equipped with dishes, glassware, cookware (but could really use a large skillet) and spices. Jacuzzi tub outside was very nice and very big. The property instructions are everywhere - almost everything has labels, rules and instructions and while that was nice it was also borderline too much. Mattresses very comfortable however master bedroom pillows were not comfortable so I would recommend bringing your own pillow like we did which was easy. "

"Overall, the property was wonderful—comfortable, extremely clean, and exactly as pictured. The location was excellent and felt close to everything. Despite being pet-friendly, the home was very well maintained and spotless; you would never know dogs were allowed.Our main frustrations were with the arrival and support experience. After a 12-hour drive, we arrived after dark to find no exterior lights on, and the entry instructions were incorrect. We had to contact Vacasa to gain access, which was not the warmest welcome. We also experienced an issue with hot water in the ensuite bath that took over 24 hours and multiple calls to resolve. It felt like this was a known, easy-to-fix issue that should have been documented and communicated at arrival. The water is plumbed backwards in the ensuite bath if you stay here FYI.Finally, while the area itself felt safe, we were uncomfortable with the use of physical keys rather than a secure lock system. Without knowing who may have copies (previous guests, cleaning staff, etc.), it did not provide a strong sense of security. A keyless entry system or additional interior locks would greatly improve peace of mind. "

"We had a wonderful week at this lovely El Prado home. The master bed was so comfortable…the kitchen was small but beautifully appointed and allowed us to cook great meals…our dog loved the big fenced yard…and we loved evenings in the hot tub and relaxed in front of the chiminea. We hope to return soon!"
