The room I was staying in looked tired and requires an upgrade but before leaving Donna was kind enough to show me other rooms including the 3 rooms in the Manor House. "Such a lovely hotel. Our room was pretty worn looking but clean. To make it a really top stay I'd say some updating of rooms in necessary but we loved our time there. GREAT food and fabulous staff and the hotel is in a beautiful setting. Really worth being based here to travel to Oxford and surrounding areas. "

"Lovely country house hotel set in the Thames valley and overlooking the river Thames from the surrounding hills. Nice walks around the gardens. Excellent food in the restaurant and a great full English breakfast. Room was well presented with large bathroom, shower over bath. We had a room with a separate sitting area which had great views out over the valley and river. Wi-Fi, etc worked well, two TV’s one in each room. Did not use the large pool or Spa."
