"We had a great stay at Casa Nostra. It was in a good location and the breakfast was excellent. The elevator wasn't working on floor 0 which required a walk up a steep and somewhat uneven staircase. The room was very nice, although the bathroom needed some upkeep. We could never figure out how to turn out the lights in the shower and had to ask to have the room serviced. The staff were very nice and helpful to us when asked."

It's a 3rd floor walk up, just a few buildings down from the famous Capo Market, toward the end, and a short walk to either the Palermo Cathedral or Teatro Massimo. The apartment is in a "real" Palermo neighborhood, not touristy - you'll hear the sounds of Italian wafting up through the back window from neighbors walking around (we were able to keep the window open for the entirety of our October stay, the weather was perfect)....
