The lights right outside the rooms are so bright it’s exactly the same as if you had a light on in the room (we actually did this). Staff is great, hotel is nice, but those lights are really bright. "The lobby of the hotel is very nice with a decent restaurant and bar. The location is excellent as it's right in the heart of downtown Monterey and a short walk to Cannery Row. My biggest complaint is that the beds and the pillows are not very good."
