"The property is dated and needs modernization. The room was ok. Didn't interact with staff much. But the person checking us in was friendly and nice. Didn't have any of the breakfast so can't comment on that. Except it was from 0700-0900. A little bit early for me to get up. When in need of fresh towels and more TP we just had to ask and we're provided. Bed was ok. Pillows not the best. But then you get what you pay for. "

"We travel through Cortez fairly regularly and always stay at The Retro. It is super convenient, clean and quiet. Beds are comfy and the showers are incredible. We really like the good old style of motel where you can back your car up to the door, sit out on the porch and relax and feel comfortable."
