"The hotel is easy to find, great parking, ability to eat at the hotel and sit in a nice beer garden. If you have mobility issues make sure you request ground floor room as there are lots of stairs and long corridors. I stayed in a deluxe room which was advertised as bigger than average. Overall pleasing colour decor. Tea, coffee , water . Now to be picky - the mattresses on the single beds pushed together to represent a" king size bed " need replacing . The shower area needs to be bleached....

"The location in Winchcombe is beautiful. Cotswold Old with cottages draped in climbing roses. Our room for the price was as described. Clean but a bit rickety. Everything creaked. "My husband & I stayed in The Slaughter Country Inn for 5 nights during our visit to the Cotswolds. The service at the inn, along with in their restaurant, was top-notch. The meals at the inn were excellent, much better than we have experienced in most inns in the U.S. The cottage that we stayed in was roomy and comfortable with a living room downstairs and a bedroom and bathroom upstairs. They put bottled waters and cookies to accompany our tea or coffee in the room every day. Additionally, we enjoyed staying in Lower Slaughter as it is one of the quieter villages in the Cotswolds. I highly recommend staying at this inn. Thank you for a lovely stay. "
