"This was booked as a get away from it all weekend for my wife’s birthday. It certainly delivered! Lovely location in the middle of nowhere. "Ten out of ten for an amazing stay! We were two couples with eight kids and we had an awesome time! Beautiful cottage, spacious and clean. "The property was as beautiful as it was in the pictures with lovely grounds and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Unfortunately though, the outside of the property was swarming with wasps so unable to keep doors and windows open and nor could you fully relax in the hot tub. My partner got stung on the first night. Also there was a trap in the corner of the bedroom which made us feel uneasy sleeping at night. And the window above the bed did not have a blackout blind so was woken early...

"The room itself was pleasant and clean. The staff were helpful. The hotel itself is getting dated and in need of a bit of refurbishment. One major issue, no restaurant. No food available at all, no evening meal, no breakfast, even though breakfast was available when I booked. It could be so much more, set in lovely grounds, quite a nice building, but suffering from a lack of attention to decoration. "
