"This is a wonderful B&B that is part of the historic district. Sloping uneven floors, which is the charm of having the chance to stay in a piece of history. A very comfortable room, with breakfast at a cafe nearby. Parking option is nearby, just talk with your host who is so helpful. Wonderful location to walk and enjoy all the town has to offer."

"What a week enjoying Tuscany's beauty and nature! This Montalcino location is just within the medieval walls, perfect for both the short walk up to the shops, cafes, and restaurants, yet it was very easy to park on-site and head out on daytrips. Aleesa and Sara were amazing hostesses with a friendliness that made us feel like Montalcino family. They really have created a welcoming guest experience in a beautiful setting. Besides getting to know our Montalcino village every day, we also took several daytrips driving around the surrounding Val D'Orcia countryside, which is stunning. Pienza, Terme San Filippi (The White Whale), the monestary, and Montepulciano were favorites. Yet we kept commenting how nice it was to come home to enjoy afternoon wine enjoying our cozy hotel view. Thank you, Hotel Vecchia Oliviera team... we are coming back for sure!"

"You need to read this because it’s true about many of the rooms that are being sold on Expedia for Italy. The rooms are not easy. Parking is more of a you figure it out situation. finding the room or the bed-and-breakfast is not necessarily easy. You will be carrying all your luggage yourself some distances. You will be caring all of your bags up several flights of stairs. It’s physically demanding to get to these places and to get your bags in and out of these places. Typically there is not someone there to help you. You have to figure it all out, you are on your own. Many of these places don’t look anything like the pictures they’re showing. I’m posting this because I simply was not aware and feel somewhat misled by what was on Expedia . Now, if you can handle all of this, your rooms are usually in some beautiful spots right in the middle of where you would want to be. It’s just important. You realize what you’re getting into before you book it."

"This was such an amazing location and beautiful experience. The place is super old which adds an immense character but at the same time there is a quirkiness and rustic quality that can be expected. The on-site food was beautiful although a touch on the expensive side (especially for children). It should be noted though that unfortunately the pool is only seasonal and wasn't available which was a surprise to us as it was a prominent feature in the listing. The mattresses were not the most comfortable."
