We easily accessed the retreat with a 20-minute drive from the Gare St Pierre des Corps, where we rented a car from Avis. The house blends old-world charm with modern comforts—comfortable beds, a newly updated shower with instant hot water, and a contemporary toilet.We visited in mid-May when the weather was perfect. The blooming rose garden and nearby fields of vibrant poppies added to the serene ambiance. Practical amenities were just a short drive away in Amboise, with excellent dining and groceries available.The property boasts a rich history, highlighted by the cave that once served as a wine press for its renowned Vouvray white wine. The artistic touch of our kind hostess is evident in the beautiful paintings that adorn the home. If you're seeking a peaceful retreat with a blend of tradition, modernity, and natural beauty, this Noizay getaway is the perfect choice!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Gite de Cray! Very quiet and lovely. Our hosts, Eloise and Hughes were warm and welcoming, even greeting us with a lovely bottle of wine. The cottage is bright and open, with a deck to relax and soak in the nature that surrounds you.At first we thought the bed would be too firm, but it was the most comfortable ever! We hope to buy this mattress for our home. The cottage is out in the country, but just a very short distance from Amboise and Tours. We would highly recommend!"

"I couldn’t imagine a better place to stay in the Loire for a family of 4. The house is a perfect mix historic but with modern updates. Very comfortable and well appointed. The design decisions were thoughtfully made. Beautiful windows and doors and amazing views. Claude and Francine were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. It was the highlight of our trip to France. "

"Francoise has a lovely home, with lots of space and a fantastic patio. It is beautifully decorated and is well stocked with cups, glasses (for any beverage), cutlery (oyster knives!), pots, pans and just about anything you need. We really enjoyed our stay. The home is very close to Amboise, but it is recommended that you have a rental car as the walk to town would be difficult. However, the drive into town is very easy. Parking is available. We were delighted with this home and would highly recommend it!"

"This is a lovely rustic country house on an acreage minutes away from Amboise. The hostess Marie-Josephe is a lovely woman who is very generous with her produce from her garden and fruit trees. Her free range chickens are entertaining and the eggs are delicious! We would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a quiet, out of the way location, yet within minutes to Amboise, the Chateau, restaurants, and vineyards!"

"Excellent place for a family get together. Amboise within walking distance. peaceful grounds of chateau. The pool was so welcome as was the bbq. We would recommend the Château for a comfortable stay in France. "
