"Franck is an exceptional host. He met us on the first day to help acclimate us to beautiful Amboise with a warm welcome, a nice bottle of Loire sparkling wine and sweets, and great recommendations for what to do in this lovely part of France. The property is delightful - imagine going to sleep with a view of the lit up Chateau Amboise filling the wall of windows facing the city and then waking to the sunrise over the same chateau. So lovely. The kitchen was well appointed and a perfect place to hang out and cook or eat delicious pastries and cheese from the Sunday market. The terrace was a lovely place to have a nice Loire wine or beer each night. Just down at the bottom of the hill are a couple of deicious restaurants as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend Franck and this historic gite."

"Location was great and room was spacious - extra points for a great shower. Breakfast had many options and we enjoyed this every morning. Within walking distance to many of the local attractions and on site parking was a perk also."

"This is a super charming small hotel (10 rooms) in a quiet area of Amboise yet still just a few blocks from the Palace and other great sites. The staff is OUTSTANDING. Jean Jacques the owner greeted us at check in with an employee named Angel. He recently purchased the hotel and Angel joined his team this week. He obviously cares deeply about the place and makes sure you have everything you need. When he is not there Angel was terrific. She also cared about everything that happens at the hotel. I would give this place the highest rating on any scale. The only place to stay in Amboise. "

"Quaint and personal B&B. Erika was lovely. Room was clean. Nothing fancy but comfortable. Got a bit hot as there is no AC, but Erika dropped off a fan. Breakfast was simple but great, and left for the day with a full belly. No coffee in the room, but a kettle and tea. Bought some instant to keep in the room. Would go back for sure."

"The property itself was absolutely beautiful. Marianne welcomed us and did everything to ensure a comfortable staff. The room was well appointed and room service excellent. We thought the breakfast was disappointing mostly due to the service of a staff member who also checked is the next day whilst speaking on the phone the entire time. We highly recommend the hotel to Others and hope he will be thoughtful"
