"Not suitable for seniors (high bathtubs, no air conditioner in early may, radiator/heater on and very difficult to turn off ((in the lower end of the radiator almost next to the floor)); during snow season is necessary to go to another street to sleep and then come back to the breakfast area the same way. The very French breakfast is not worth the money we paid for it (18€ per person). There is parking available in the property (15€ per night, but is very convenient. Since the hotel is close to...

A lovely, well-located apartment

"The apartment was great - in an excellent location close to shops and restaurants in the village square and within easy walking distance from the old city. The apartment itself had everything we needed and included a nice private balcony which added to the ambience. We would definately choose to stay again if we are back in Carcassonne. "Great location in the castle of Carcassonne. Enjoyed the morning and evening when the day tourist are few. Wonderful breakfast and the rooms were very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying in this hotel!"

Nice apartment, but communication awful.

"The apartment was good and very well laid out. The only problem was a very musty smell in the toilet and wash room.it was also a bit noisy. I would recommend it for its proximity to the town and the value that it gives, but my only hesisation would be due to the communication with the manager. The entry code never arrived the day before and in fact I along with another client were left standing outside the building trying to get the code from the owner. I had rang him twice already that morning asking for the code and he said he would send it, but did not. Eventually we got in, but that was enough to stop a return visit"

Fantastic Chambre D'Hote in Carcassonne

"Stayed a whole week and wish it was more! Without a doubt the best Chambre D'Hote/small hotel we have ever stayed in, anywhere in the world. Just 3 bedrooms, but beautifully appointed and with an amazingly comfortable bed! Breakfasts were extraordinary- different every day, but similar in that they were perfectly prepared with delicious fresh local produce. The property is literally on the bank of the Canal du Midi, 1 minute walk from the train station, a few minutes into town and 15 minutes walk to the Cite. But it was still quiet and peaceful. Katy and Olivier make you feel so at home and were full of recommendations on what to do, where to eat and how to have a great time in beautiful Carcassonne, which we certainly did. I would not hesitate to book again and look forward to doing so!"
