"I loved my stay at the Barn! I am not usually a fan of shared dorms in hostels which is why I loved the private room option here with the shared bath. The facilities were clean and well maintained. There was a huge kitchen with lots of supplies for cooking which made is super convenient to save money on food. The rooms themselves were super clean/nice and plenty of space for our luggage. The bathrooms were clean and private, never had an issues with having to wait for people either. Downstairs they offered drinks, food and breakfast for purchase in a shared common area which was also nice. I felt super safe here and receptionist were there to help if you needed anything. Free parking and easy place to find! Would 10/10 recommend staying here if you have the chance!"

"Fabulous hotel located near Skogafoss waterfall. Mountain view rooms could see the waterfall. Very vomfortable room. Access to tea/ coffee via a machine in the hallway. Brealfast was lovely with plenty of space. Felt like home from home and what a view!"

"What an amazing view from the front of the hotel! Our north-facing room also had a great view. We stayed here in April 2026 on a cloudy and somewhat rainy day. The building is long with a lot of rooms. There is a restaurant, but we opted to drive to Vic for dinner. The breakfast was great. Wifi was a bit spotty but worked overall. Our room was a good size. There were no outlets next to the sides of the bed (plenty in the room though), and there were lights positioned right over the pillows, a real ouchie if you forget. The walls are a bit thin, but our white noise app helped with that. Overall, a great stay outside of the town of Vik."
