"Built in 1972, Midtown is one of the few landmark family owned local motels. I stayed there one night to reconnect with my childhood. I was not disappointed. It is in the heart of Myrtle Beach and has retained that precious vibe of yesteryear. Just good friendly people who care about every customer. The place is a simple, basic motel with the amenities you need, including a small kitchen. It is clean and secure. There is coffee in office but you can't get to it in the morning since the office is closed. Just steps to the ocean, I would stay again."

"This was a great place to stay while our kids were on a campout. The hotel was clean, safe and in my budget, which are the main things I look for. The breakfast, while mostly the standard hotel stuff was actually a bit better. Most hotels offer those make your own waffles, but the batter that they use made really good waffles, and the syrup was really good. It didn't taste like brown sugar water. They also had some decent biscuits and gravy. Overall, it was an excellent stay."
