6/10 Okay

"There wasn’t anything wrong with the room, per sé- it just wasn’t what I was expecting. The location is a motel and not a hotel. That’s on me for not paying better attention to the listing. The room was pleasant enough for an overnight stay, but I wouldn’t stay for longer than a night. The bathtub was slow to drain and the room felt a little Spartan but again- nothing outright bad. Parking was well lit. Felt safe. The breakfast was hot and much more enticing than cold/snacks breakfast fare at some places. Staff was very friendly and polite. I personally wouldn’t stay again, but only because I prefer a more “bells and whistles” type of atmosphere."

"When arriving at the hotel, it was obvious that the state and condition of the hotel was not like the pictures online represented. It is rundown and alittle sketchy looking from the outside. After we checked in we entered our room to be greeted by a dead roach in the bathroom. We booked using a 3rd party service. Apparently the staff doesn’t know how to handle 3rd party bookings because the front desk personnel then came beating on our door and made false accusations that we provided fraudulent bank account information and a fake phone number. We booked through Expedia and mind you I gave them a copy of my credit card when I checked in so have no idea where they got the fake bank info from since I didn’t provide anything like that. With the room being dirty and the hostile front desk we decided we had had enough and contacted Expedia and requested a refund and to move to another hotel."

"I absolutely love this hotel! The staff are so friendly, especially the front desk staff! The coffee and breakfast was wonderful and they had real half-and-half. The bed was comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I imagine with my daughter‘s college aspirations that I will definitely be staying here more."

"Our stay at Camp LaVie was absolutely amazing! We were traveling for a baseball tournament with a group of 6 kids and 2 adults, and the experience couldn’t have been better.The accommodations were wonderful, but what truly made our stay special was Pam. On our second day, we had the unexpected misfortune of getting a flat tire. I reached out to Pam for help, and she immediately responded with a phone call, offering assistance and making sure we were taken care of. Her kindness, compassion, and willingness to help went above and beyond anything we expected.It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality these days, and Pam made us feel truly welcome and supported. We are so grateful for her help and for the wonderful experience we had at Camp LaVie. We highly recommend staying here and would gladly return in the future!"
