"We loved our stay at chalet Shiga. Skiing was fantastic. The people at the chalet treated us very well, lovely authentic japenese food and setting. The location is perfect, at the bottom of ichinose. We went at the start of spring season, which did mean some of the slopes were closed, and the buses were limited. Something to be aware of. But, there was still plenty of fluffy white stuff, lifts and slopes. We didn't need to go see the snow monkeys - they came to see us 😀"

"Staff, food, game room, bedrooms, outdoor hot tub, and amenities are over the top amazing and comfortable. Everyone was so kind and went above and beyond making our 4 night stay an epic ski week experience of a lifetime. We made new friends and had everything, and more even, than we needed. If we ever make it back to the area we would definitely stay here again."

"Staff were friendly, breakfast buffet was small but okay. Rooms were a good size but I wasn’t really happy with the room cleaning. I stayed 5 nights and my sheets weren’t changed once. That would normally be okay except my partner had an unexpected nosebleed and got a little bit of blood on our doona and it sat there for 5 nights. When our room would get ‘made up’ the staff would just reposition the doona, where they would clearly see the blood, instead of changing it. It was just a bit gross...
