Fenix Furano

Fenix Furano

10/10 Excellent
"Our family had a wonderful stay at Fenix Furano. We stayed in a two bedroom and one bathroom apartment. It was very comfortable, clean, modern, and spacious for family of 4. The washer/dryer combo was very useful for our long travel trip. The room had a balcony with beautiful view of the city. Breakfast buffet had moderate quantity and healthy choices. Breakfast room was small yet their staff was attentive, standing and waiting to help us. This hotel will be a great accomodation for skiers since it is right in front of the gondola base. We appreciate their kindness to accommodate our early check in request. We lost our driver license and couldn't arrive on a rental car as planned. We had to take the Lavender Express so we arrive much earlier. Being able to check in and rest truly made our day better. We highly recommend this hotel."

"Exellent dinner buffet! Free shuttles (reserved) from Asahikawa and to Biei were very convenient. 3 mins walk to the famous Shirogane Bridge for great views. We didn't go to the Blue Pond due to transport logistics and lots of flying insects. Free water bottles and japanese sweets in room. Rooms were nice and clean. The only problem was our 2 rooms didn't have airconditioning, or rather, the central airconditioning is not effective at all. It was too hot to sleep for our 1 night stay in August but we would gladly stay again when it is not that hot."

"It's a nice stay with all the great amenities. They can also have breakfast with fee and a restaurant for dinner if you want. If I will pass this area again, I will stay here."

Akayane Lodge by H2 Life

Akayane Lodge by H2 Life

10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful, modern and quiet property with stunning views from the window. Property was clean and had a useful kitchenette, with sufficient features. Farm Tomita, Shirage waterfalls, Blue pond etc. are all nearby and 100% worth the effort to see if you’re around in July. Also worth checking out the restaurant Kaiten Sushi Topical in Furano which had some of the tastiest Sushi I’ve ever eaten. My only criticism was having my stay interrupted by a property manager, delivering a letter with check-out instructions which threatened fines for leaving the property with dishes in the sink, among other requirements. (the check-in process already requires agreement to several terms about waste management, room cleanliness and conditions) so this visit felt extremely punitive and unnecessary."
