"It was a great experience stay at intercontinental Samui. Great staff and service, the location seems quite far from the urban areas such as fisherman’s village but hotel has shuttle bus three rounds a day to go to those places. And if you just wanna stay in the hotel and chill, it was actually a great location, quiet, great sea view, perfect sunset! You have to see the sunset on the beach there! Breakfast was just ok, coffee was good though. Overall it was worth it. "

"We didn’t like the way the property handled our situation. My husband was having to panicked attack and we ask for help from the manager. The room was too small, didn’t even fit our luggages. After checking in my husband couldn’t stay in the room so we left and had to looking for other hotel right away. We made reservations for 4 nights and we only stayed for a night and had to leave. But I left the message to the manager and told reason. No one response and willing to help out. My husband birthday trip was ruined. We need the refund for the rest of the night that we didn’t stay. "This is better than the photographs. Set in the countryside a few miles outside the bustling Lamai Villa Philippa is located (one of 4) on a hillside enabling us to enjoy lovely warm breezes every day. The pool is larger than those in most villas and looks out over the verdant countryside and the coast beyond. The patio is a comfortable place to sunbathe, sit and eat under the awning. The interior is dominated by a large open-plan kitchen dining and tv area with 3 large double bedrooms off at the sides all with their own bathroom and air conditioning. The master also has a large freestanding bath front and centre. There is also a small cloakroom area with abundant storage throughout. The villa’s owner Pranam organised car hire for us and this worked really well. It would be difficult here without transport. Pranam was a joy to deal with. She was always quick to respond to messages and questions and generously gave time to physically show us the route to the supermarket and point out the best massage centre. We enjoyed a good Thai meal cooked at the villa by two local women which was fresh and delicious and so plentiful that it fed us for days. We have stayed at many villas over the years but this was definitely one of the nicest and we hope to return."
