"We loved this place. This large mountain house that overlooks a gorgeous lake is wonderful. The lake is low this time of year but it still didn’t deter the beauty of the lake surrounded by mountains. We loved everything about this house. The game room was great to hang out and play games on the pool table and foosball. We used the pontoon boat to ride around and just enjoy the surroundings. Highly recommend. It does cost extra but I feel it’s worth it. Just be prepared for a lot of steps in the house and outside but it is on a side of a mountain and the house is massive so we felt we got our exercise in. lol. The owner Greg and caretaker were very nice and always answered our questions in a timely matter. Thanks again for a wonderful stay. "

"Beautiful property and lake! Lakes End Marina has excellent service. You shoud know that the driveway is single lane & on steep incline. (Be sure to have plenty of gas or fuel pump can get vapor locked on incline). In case you have mobility issues, know that there are 111 steps down to the dock. We loved the view and everyone had the best time! Highly recommended!"

"Our stay on Lake Nantahala at DJ’s luxury cabin was very enjoyable. In addition to a very spacious home, many water “toys” accompanied the property. It was nice having a dock as our kids rented a pontoon boat for the week. We enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit, the spectacular views, and the well stocked kitchen for our large family. A memorable week was had by all!"

"Lake Nantahala is a wonderful sharing of all her glory. The views of the lake are spectacular as the birds share the songs of joy. As mentioned in many reviews the 202 steps to the floating dock are a bit daunting but most likely helped us burn off some of those unnecessary calories. The wifi was fine for our email and brief web surfing needs and even worked well with streaming on the TV. The access road to the property is good enough for access to the cabin by car. The home is inside a gated community so security is very good. Clothing storage is a bit limited with one closet with a few hangers and no hanging storage in the guest bedroom for longer stays. As it was only the 2 of us and we were at the property for 22 nights we used the spare bedroom bed to lay out our clothes. The kayak, paddle boards, and canoe are wonderful to use for exploring around the lake and it’s coves. The gas fire pit on the lower deck is a nice addition for those cooler nights. There are some nice covered deck areas on the lower decks for those damp days. The gas grill on the upper deck is in excellent condition and works very well. John & Cynthia have provided a wonderful home home to enjoy the wonderful views that Lake Nantahala provides. If you are a smaller group that is looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city this is a wonderful escape. Thanks to the host for their wonderful communication. We hope to in the near future take advantage of the great property again."

"This is a beautiful mountain top home. The views are spectacular. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed boating on the lake every day and relaxing on the porch every evening catching amazing sunsets. The carriage house/game room was perfect for our teenage boys. The drive up to the home was a little precarious but my minivan managed just fine. It is worth it for the view. The host was very helpful before, during and after our stay. This was a perfect place to beat the summer heat! We would definitely book again."
