Great stay

The receptionist Francesca is really friendly. We appreciate her service. The room is good , clean and comfortable. Only one down point is safe door is broken, so it kept opening. The buffet breakfast is average, but Francesca made orange juice for us. We really appreciate it. Great hospitality , clean room and an amazing location.

The private lobby on the 2nd floor converts this property into a luxurious experience adjacent to the Spaccanapoli. Below you’ll find open air bars with people meeting up with friends. It’s a very charming location. The breakfast in the morning can be delivered to your room or you will book an appointment with the staff for the breakfast room. The portions and options were very generous. Finally, we used this location as a base to walk down to the ferry and train stations. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk, but we were able to see Pompeii, Capri, and Positano all on separate days from this home base.

Naples vacation

We had a wonderful stay at the Melrose. The hostess was absolutely wonderful. She checked us in smoothly when we got there and our room was totally ready for us. Then the next day she made a beautiful breakfast for us. There were groups before us and after us and boy was she hustling! She also ordered us a cab and was never too busy to help, even though she had so much to do. The location was excellent… Right in The heart of historic Naples. We walked to dinner and to our activities easily. I would highly recommend.

Would stay there again!

Great location, friendly staff, and a wonderful breakfast. It was also very quiet. The only down side was the bathroom door. The door is a frosted glass with a large gap at the bottom and top.

This is a great place for those who want to be close to good shopping, dining, and tourist attractions. It is only a 5-minute walk to the Dante metro station which can take you to other areas of the city and to the central train station. Stefano was very helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend!

Location is very central, room was clean, the host was good but room we stayed in only had window to hotel hallway that had a loud elevator. We could hear the elevator and noise from main door opening all night. Hotel has bar right outside and we could hear a lot of noise on the weekend when the bar was very busy even though our room was on the inside of the hotel. I would not stay here again.

Property and location were great. Stefano was over the top in making sure we were taken care of. The AC was not cooling and even after service, the room never really got cooler but we had the two story room with loft so we were made aware that it might not cool as well as regular rooms. Overall, great stay, highly recommend and would stay again.

The staff were very helpful and kind, and extremely responsive at answering any question or helping with anything. Our room was simple but clean and nice in a very good location for walking to many things of interest. Our only complaint is that the air conditioning did not really work in our room, and even after running the A/C for several hours the room didn’t really cool down that much.

This place gets top marks for a comfortable bed with a clean washroom and a fabulous host in Stefano. The location is ideal; close to the old part of the city and a short walk to the port. This is not a traditional full service hotel I. That the front desk is open on a daily schedule, however Stefano explained well how to access the hotel after hours and gave us a map of the area when we checked in. We had a lovely breakfast and espresso in the morning and Stefano arranged transport for us to Herculaneum and our next stop. We would recommend MelRose Napoli to anyone. Grazie Stefano!

Naples is a busy place. The area around the hotel was no exception. Sound proofing was good, but needed to open the window to cool off and then it was loud until late. Close to subway and lots of shopping and restaurants. Hotel is nice but entrance to the building was in need of update and felt sketchy. Was not sure I was in the right place. Breakfast was good but had to be scheduled. Only one table. No place to pull up and drop off luggage as it is on a pedestrian only street. Also staff is only on sight part of the day, mostly morning. If you need anything later in the day/ evening you are on your own.

It was a great location and cute room. However, the air conditioner did not work and it was 94 degrees in the room. They waited until 7:30pm to tell us they couldn't find someone to fix it and said they would refund money. (Still awaiting refund). We couldn't find close accomodations for 4 during busy season except one a ways out. However, we were only in Naples 2 days and lost a whole day on this situation. Can't refund my time or misery. Very sad. Missed seeing a lot of stuff and was miserable in the heat. Tried a cold shower, but water pressure was low. They did not assist with finding other rooms open or locations.

Hot, hot, hot!

This hotel is not one I'd return to. We stayed at their featured room, so we have 2 floors (2 small beds up some dangerous steps). Its down an alley that you can not get to via car and its in a business building. You need to whatsapp them with your arrival time so there is someone there, otherwise no one is on site or reachable. We got buzzed in and there is this small oldschool chained elevator. While I was going up with 2 luggages and my daughter, my husband was in the "lobby" stepping on cockroaches. Yes, you read that right. Cockroaches everything in the lobby of this building. We check in and walk into the room. Pretty room on first site but as youre in there it get hotter and hotter. The ac is no where near accurate to cool the room. We left for the remainder of the day and returned to a room that cool but not cold. During the night something happened and we all woke up in a sweat. The ac was not working. After calls to the employee who checked us in (who told us not to message him when he is not working), attempts to call the hotel via their phone number ( I called and hotels.com called all to unanswered phonecalls), the employee gave me the number to the owner. She sent over her elderly father to take a look. What was his response? to clean the filters. No actual handyman who know ACs came to check it out. The end result? A hot room. Listing states AC. This is a lie. Listing states restaurants. This is a lie. The entire listing is fraudulent.
