Log cabin, pets, close to Nashville.
Beautiful Dogwood Hills Cabin sits just 10 minutes from Nashville. With Brown County State Park in the backyard, this quintessential hand-hewn log cabin allows you to bring the family, accommodating up to six, making memories outdoors and in.
Enjoy the spacious backyard with enough room for games, a fire pit, and a private pool during the summer! During the winter, sit around the amazing fireplace or the dining room table, enjoying a glass of wine from a nearby winery. We have a full coffee bar in the fully stocked kitchen. And, when it rains or the morning is a little foggy, you can relax indoors, enjoy the covered hot tub in the fenced-in yard, sit on the front porch and rock back and forth, play board games, air hockey, or stream your favorite movie and binge shows you’ve been anxious to see.
There is more than enough room for your friends, family, and four-legged kids. Two levels allow everyone their own space and bathrooms.
In addition to the king and queen beds, there is also a sleeper sofa.
Rural Environment Notice Our cabins are located in the beautiful woods and countryside of Brown County, Indiana. These harmless insects are part of life in a rural setting. We do everything possible to minimize their presence and appreciate your understanding as part of the authentic Brown County experience! Effective July 1, 2025 the county has raised the innkeepers tax from 5% to 8%.

The place was clean & cozy. Check in/out was easy with clear instructions. Had a few questions and the property manager responded immediately. We would absolutely come back here!!
We had a blast, the cain was just as expected. The cabin was a bit smaller than others we've stayed in, but the pool made up for it! The pool & fenced in property is what sold me! I would definitely stay here again!
The attention to detail gives the cabin a warm inviting stay. Gas fireplace, coffee bar, dog feeding station, s'more package, comfortable beds, hot tub and nice backyard for the dogs to play. I would highly recommend.
We had an amazing time staying here. The place was very clean. The pool was clear and warm. We spent most of the days in the pool!! My kids loved the little smores gift that was left for us upon arrival. Close to downtown Nashville and Brown County State park (which is absolutely beautiful and has amazing scenery). We would definitely recommend this location and hope to be able to come back and stay again in the future.
Our family ranged from an 80 year old Aunt to a 12 year old grandson plus Bones our little 13 year old Boston. He loved it!! So did we! The hot tub and fire pit were so nice and I could have spent all day rocking on the porch!

Quiet. The pool was VERY clean. Hot tub CLEAN as well.
Cabin clean. Cabin stocked with a lot of dishes, pots, pans, coffee bar, baggies, soap, trash bags etc. Plenty of games and movies.
We will definitely be back. Dog friendly.
This property was amazing, they communicated quickly anytime you need anything. The cabin was very spacious and clean. They had pretty much anything you can think of stocked! (kitchen, bathroom, spa robes/towels) They even gifted a smores welcome pack! Very nice and thoughtful. Highly recommend!!!!!
The ladies in my family came for a girls’ trip to celebrate a 60th birthday…we had 6 total. The cabin was super cute and accommodated all of us. The pool and hot tub were super clean and maintained…the ONLY two issues (not major issues) was there could have been a couple more chairs around the fire pit since the cabin accommodates 6 and the downstairs toilet sits REALLY low. Otherwise, it was a great rental and I would definitely stay again!
The home was nice. The good things are the fenced yard for our fur babies, very welcoming, the outdoor furniture was cleaned because they were spider web free and dirt free. Bed was comfortable. Dining table and living room furniture very nice. With all the good stuff there are Just some things that we thought needed attention. You couldn’t see out the windows because they probably haven’t been cleaned in years. The shower head and sink facet were corroded. The shower water pressure was too high and head only moves left to right. My husband is tall and had a hard time. There wasn’t a knife sharp enough to even cut a tomato and no sharpener to be found. Beautiful floors and were swept but not clean.
Very cute cabin. Looks just like the pictures. Very clean, for the most part. Every afternoon on the west side of the house, ladybugs were everywhere. I had to vacuum them up daily. Other than that, the place was clean. The attention to detail was a nice touch!! 1) dog area, 2) robes/slippers for the hot tub, 3) coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar, 4) shampoo/conditioner/body washes, 5) coupons for wine tasting…..the list goes on. Our dogs LOVED the fenced in back yard ( they love to play ball)….just need a “ pooper scooper” of some sort. This cabin is close to Nashville and a beautiful location. Things that need attention/suggestions:
1) cut the bushes in the front…can’t see the cabin very well
2) need towel hooks in the bathrooms
3) pooper scooper
4) lighter ( we had to buy one)
5) higher toilets
6) luggage rack for your suitcase
Overall, a very nice place and would love to return in the summertime to use the pool.
Thank you!

Disliked: Cleanliness
Disruptive and Unrelaxing
The property had potential, but walking into an unclean house was disappointing. There was a clear sticky substance on the counter, mice droppings all over, several dead bugs on the bathroom floor (more than 20). I spent the fiest 20 minutes of my trip cleaning. The bed sheets had crumbs in them and the blankets were covered in dog hair. We were bothered by tree trimmers coming to the door and the noise of tree trimming (of course this was not owners fault). The master bed is so worn there was a huge dip in the middle causing use to roll on top of each other. It was not usuable for 2 people. Wifi worked great, but there was no service on cell phones and we could not call or text. This was very unsettling considering the issues we were finding. The power went out 3 times, once for over an hour. The thermostate would not go below 73. It was on 75 when we arrived and we ran it straight for 3 days. Finally, there were mice. We saw one in the kitchen and more coming out of the fire place. They were unfraid and aggressive. The pool and hot tub were the highlights other than the noise of trimming trees.
Thank you for your hospitality and the coffee bar well supplied. The home was very nice. We especially enjoyed how close we were to Brown County Park etc. The backyard needed a nicer deck to sit and have a drink on as the swimming pool blocked the view.
We loved staying here! I hosted my sister's bachelorette party at this cabin, and it was perfect! We have no complaints, and I will definitely be staying here again anytime I am near Nashville!
We loved this cabin!! Best one we have rented yet and so clean. Decorated so cute 🥰 Loved the pool and enjoyed hot tub and fire pit as well. Would definitely recommend this place for a getaway with your spouse or would be great for a girls trip too!!
